New furry friends welcome!
Pet care experience
I've been looking at a way to earn an income playing with animals all day, for a while now (sounds too good to be true, right?!).........this is the perfect opportunity for me!!! I currently work part-time, mainly out of my apartment. I'm a math tutor for an Austin-based company that delivers service in the client's home. I set my own schedule and am never gone for more than about 3 hours at a time. Usually, I'm gone for about 3 hours total, throughout the day. (I'll be happy to discuss my day-to-day work schedule with you in more detail, upon request) Although I live in an apartment, it's on the first floor (for easy outdoor access) and I have my own private, grassy, fenced-in backyard with a 6 ft. fence. It's plenty of room for smaller dogs! Because I'm an animal lover, of course I have a couple of my own! I have a little man named Calvin (or "Little Dude") who, I think, is a chi-weenie (he has a chihuahua face, but a wiener dog body........he's a little weirdo!) ;-) He's 9 lbs. and is sooooo lazy! He tries to be tough at first, around other dogs, but then after about 10 minutes, he becomes indifferent & goes back to his bed. I also have a cat who is FIV+ and has Feline Leukima. Neither one of these have to do with the canine family, though. The only reason I mention it, is to educate people that neither disease can cross species. FIV is the equivalent to HIV. In HIV, the "H" is for "Human" (obviously). In FIV, the "F" is for "Feline". It STRICTLY affects the Feline family. It, in no way, affects humans or dogs or birds or rabbits or any other animal. I've been an animal owner/lover my entire life. I've owned an array of "special needs" animals, so please contact me if your furry baby needs special food, pills, shots, IV fluids, or any other qualities that make it extremely hard to find someone who can take care of them. I understand how difficult it is, as I used to have a 40 lb. handicapped Sheppard mix. He was such a sweet boy! But he was old and couldn't use his back legs any longer, due to a neurological disorder. I adopted him like this (because i didn't want him to die in the shelter alone), so I understand what it takes to care for them. They maybe be high-maintenance, but we love them just the same! :-) Why I love dog sitting I've been a dog lover/owner my whole life! Meet my pets Cats About my yard Although I live in an apartment, I have my own private backyard. Its grassy and fenced in, by a 6 ft. tall fence. Its perfect for smaller dogs! My experience administering medication Absolutely. I've had many animals over the years that needed a variety of medications, both orally and through shots.
Reviews
Cera is the best! She continually does a wonderful job taking care of my special needs dog.
Cera did a wonderful job taking ca
Cera was great and friendly with my pup, Oliver! She sent pictures and made me feel at ease while I was away. I highly recommend her.
We bought tickets for a music festival before we adopted our fur baby and were very apprehensive about leaving her with someone we didn't knows, especially since our puppy was only 9 weeks at the time. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter or a better experience!! Cera sent us pictures and updates the entire time we were gone and she even offered to come pick up our dog when we were having car troubles on the morning we left. She clearly loves all animals and took care of our dog as if she was her own!!

No breed preferences. I love them all! However, they MUST be good with other dogs, cats, and people.

Here's where we'll take our walks I'm a big fan of Zilker. There's also a school by my house that has plenty of land. Most people in the neighborhood take their dogs there, after school hours of course. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Wherever they want! They can sleep in bed with me, if they want. Or, if they prefer their own bed or their kennel, that's ok too! Time I'll spend with your dog Plenty of time! I'm usually only gone for 1-2 hours at a time. At the most, I'll be gone for maybe 5 hours.
