Pet care experience
I've taken care of (and parented!) dogs and cats since I was 9 years old, from overnight visits to daily walks. I've often been the go-to petsitter for my neighbors, family members and friends. My top priority when caring for a new pet is doing everything I can to learn about their needs, quirks, boundaries and eccentricities so I can be sure they feel safe and happy with me right off the bat. I immediately fall in love with every animal I meet and always go above and beyond to make sure they're taken care of, especially when their owners are gone for an extended period of time. I also have experience caring for pets with physical and mental health issues, e.g. anxiety or anything that requires medication.

Celina is a superb caregiver for your pet. She is responsive, responsible, and immediately bonded with our dog Bones; they became fast friends! Our dog is older, and needs significant attention. Celina was a perfect match and she was in constant communication with us while we were away and sent pictures to let us know all was well. She is our first choice whenever we need to leave our dog; we trust her implicitly with our dog and with our home.
Celina has been a great help to me over the last few years with my cat Axwell. I hired her to watch Ax for a long weekend and came home to find that he had the best weekend, she had pictures from their adventures and axwell was clearly relaxed and happy. I was sold and have used Celina's help at least once a month since then. she's reliable and kind, and flexible! hard to find these days.

Making sure you and your pet feel safe with me is my top priority – before committing to a petsitting or dog-walking job, I like to do home visits so your pet can meet me in a comfortable environment. Sometimes (with your permission!) I will even bring them a toy or treat to help them warm up :) Visiting your pet in their home also helps me get a sense for what kinds of things help them feel comfortable and calm and creates a great opportunity for us to get to know each other (since you'll be there too).

In addition to the obvious (any medical/physical health issues, anxieties, triggers), I love to know the quirks that make your dog unique. Does she hate Amazon drivers but ignore all other mail people? Does he like his wet food in a specific shape? Does she like her left ear rubbed and not her right?
A typical day
I am still getting to know the Bay Area, but I absolutely love going to dog parks (if your dog enjoys them) and playing with them in the backyard.

Availability
I am a full-time remote freelancer, so my schedule is really flexible throughout the week! I can easily work with you to find a care/walking schedule that works for you and your baby. If we decide on a regular schedule, I will always be sure to give you plenty of advance notice if any schedule changes happen.
