Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Cecelia! I'm a student at the University of Pittsburgh studying international relations and environmental sustainability. I started on Rover because I worked remotely from New Hampshire last year and I missed my dog terribly. It was a really fun and rewarding experience, it was amazing to meet so many different kinds of dogs and owners alike. I've spent over two weeks at individual client's houses doing home stays as well as various types of drop in visits, and I loove taking dogs out on walks/hikes/runs with me. I would love to bring your dog with me on adventures, be it a romp in the woods or just a relaxed walk through the park. I work part time at The Colombian Spot, and when I'm not studying I enjoy reading, kayaking, exploring, and most of all, spending time with my pup. Ellipsis is our 3 year old cattle dog mutt, and is truly my kindred spirit. I spend every day with her over the summer/winter break- going on runs, cuddling, playing, swimming, just having conversations. My family is full of animal lovers, so I have lots of experience with cats, bunnies, fish, and turtles too. I would love to get to know you and your pet!
Reviews
Cecelia was so great with my dog Zeppole. She graciously came by to dog sit on super short notice and was really flexible with my crazy work hours. My dog has some separation anxiety but loved hanging out with her. Cecelia was kind and gentle with my pup and gave her tons of attention. Zeppole seemed sad to see her go! I also got text, photo and video updates which were so nice to see.
Cecelia was did a great job walking our dog. I would highly recommend her.
Cecelia wouldn’t be a great dog walker/caregiver she would be the best dog walker there ever was. I’m certain that Cecelia likes dogs more than she does people and all joking aside she’s one of the most caring and responsible person i have ever met

I have done multiple home stays in the past year, each one varying pretty surprisingly from the next. I am open to anything when it comes to what is expected of me while caring for your pet, and have experience with examples such as administering medication, specific exercise routines, special cuddling requests, and whatever else may be necessary (I had a client whose labrador was quite literally on their last leg, and I had to lift her hind end to and from the house like a gentler wheelbarrow.) During a stay, I am always on call for any new task or change in schedule, and I try to maintain a healthy correspondence regarding the stay (and I am very flexible with updating more or less depending on owner preferences.)
Information Cecelia K. would like to know about your pet
Let me know of any special needs or preferences I can take care of! I really am a lover of all dogs and can work with any situation. I have no problem with being assertive and enforcing any rules that some more rambunctious dogs may require, and I've also had a lot of experience patiently caring for elderly and slow learning dogs.
A typical day
I live about two blocks from schenley park, which is where I most frequently go for jogs or bike rides, but I am familiar with many other areas of the city and flexible to wherever your dog typically ventures. I looove dog parks, so if you're dog enjoys playing at them please let me know!! I also really enjoy the river walk in southside, and there are always many dogs playing in the park there.

Availability
I work as a waitress part time and am a full time student, so I frequently check my calendar and try to keep it as updated as possible. I am available every day before 3 pm and can do home stays any day of the week. The biggest issue I run into now that I live in Pittsburgh is distance. I live in South Oakland and get around via bicycle, and while I'm willing to go anywhere in the city, i can't easily access some of the nearby suburbs.
