Pet care experience
I've had and loved animals of all kinds my entire life. My dad trained K9 dogs, so I learned how to care for large dogs from a very young age. I've been pet sitting for friends and neighbors since I was in high school and I can handle any number of pets in a household, including things like rabbits or guinea pigs too. While of course I'm being paid, I really signed up for Rover so that I could have more opportunities to hang out with as many animals as possible.

She’s very kind and passionate about animals. Whenever she’s sees them here face immediately has a smile on it. She loves her own cat dearly!
Caylie watched our two dogs while we were on vacation. They love her! She did everything that we asked and our boys were both relaxed and happy when we returned. She even sent us some photos of them playing and on their walks while we were gone. It was clear that they really bonded with her, which isn't always the case with other sitters.

I'm not able to care for other pets at my home because my cat is very skittish around other animals, but I can do anything that needs to be done at a clients home. Feeding, walking, play time, etc. I know how to make sure that animals feel relaxed and comfortable around me. I can also do some minor chores around your home, like watering plants and bringing in the mail while you're away

If there's anything that could be particularly enticing, or frightening, to your dog, especially on a walk, please let me know! If your pup bolts after every squirrel they see, we need to know so we can be prepared. Basically, if there's any preference or behavior that you think sets your dog apart from the average, share that info so I can give them the best day possible.
A typical day
I love being outside with dogs and seeing them excited to explore and play. I don't mind throwing a ball a thousand times or playing tug of war, and I enjoy going on long walks where your dog (and I) can get plenty of exercise during the day. I also like practicing tricks with dogs who know them, and I can often teach some to dogs who haven't learned any yet.

Availability
I'm a teacher, so I mostly offer care on afternoons or weekends and during the summer when my schedule is wide open. In summer months I can do pretty much any hours that someone might need, I'm available all day every day for most of June and July. During the school year I'm able to drop in for a few hours in the afternoon and evenings.
