I have been caring for animals both domestic and exotic for 12 years. When I was 14 I started walking and doing at home care for dogs in my neighborhood. My family never had pets when I was growing up but I have always loved dogs and cats and wanted the chance to learn how to take care of them. I took this love of animals and pursued a bachelors degree in Animal Behavior at Franklin and Marshall College where I also worked in a paid position in the college’s vivarium providing daily care to finches, turtles, cichlids, wolf spiders, capuchin monkeys, and more. When I graduated and moved to Florida for an internship at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I continued pet sitting on the side for family and friends while pursuing my dream job which I am now lucky enough to be doing. I am currently employed as a full time zoological specialist at Busch Gardens working with chimpanzees and gorillas but over the years have cared for a wide variety of animals including hoofstock, birds, reptiles, small mammals and primates. In my own household I have my two cats, Arthur and Ahsoka, who both have my whole heart. I have been a pet sitter for multiple family friends here in florida for small dogs (Maltese), labradors, great dane mixes, golden retrievers and I am very familiar with caring for cats.
