Pet care experience
As a former vet tech and groomer, I’ve always had a huge place in my heart for dogs. I’ve been working with pups for the better part of two decades and have learned a great deal about how to make them happy! I’ve worked with all sorts of different breeds, and every new pup is always a great experience. We’re always excited to bring a new pooch into the family! Although I’ll be the primary caregiver, pups that stay with us tend to get love from all of us. My husband and three daughters absolutely love dogs and will always be there to provide some extra cuddles or playtime when needed. My husband grew up around very large dogs and horses, so he’s very comfortable helping out. I am currently a student at an online college, which means that my schedule is fairly flexible. I’m a great match for pups that need a bit more love and attention, or just like to spend their time around people! We always like to go around and take plenty of walks around the neighborhood, so I have no problem with pups that like to get out of the house a bit more. Our home is a bi-level with tons of room to run around. We also have floor to ceiling windows in the front, which is perfect for scoping out birds and squirrels! The house also sits on a half-acre lot, and we also have chickens that live in a coop there as well. Pups always get a kick out of them! Overall, it’s a very safe neighborhood in a typical suburban setting. All of the neighbors know each other and we definitely look out for one another. It’s a great area for walking around and getting to meet some of the other pups in the neighborhood as well!
Reviews
Our Hendrix is a special needs dog and Cathy was great with him on each of the visits. She came highly recommended by others and we saw why. She has a calming demeanor, and is responsive, and caring. We will certainly use Cathy again!
Cathy was very accommodating and took excellent care of our golden retriever. He is very high energy and he had plenty of entertainment in her home. We are looking forward to more stays . I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her. Thank you Cathy! See you in February
Cathy took such good care of our puppy! He had a lot of fun and was exhausted when he got home after our trip. We got daily updates and everything seemed to go well. We would rebook!
First time using Cathy’s boarding for 7 days, it was a wonderful experience. My dogs were so well taken care off. She sent photos and updates daily. I am really appreciative of the care my dogs received in her home. It was like sending them to family. I will definitely book again. Thank you!!!

Information Cathy S. would like to know about your pet
Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?
A typical day
I have a fairly flexible schedule, so I have plenty of freedom to design a stay around your pup’s needs. I do like to get up and active first thing in the morning, so we will most likely begin our day with breakfast and then a walk around the neighborhood. During the day, I’m taking classes and taking care of my house, which means that I’ll be able to also take time out for walks or cuddles here and there. We’ll have lots of opportunities for walks or socializing whenever the time calls!
