I have been a foster for 2 rescues in the Dallas area. Recently retired with time on my hands and would love to care for your furry family member when you are away. As a foster, I cared for puppies, older dogs and even street dogs rescued from south Texas. I successfully found great loving homes for many fosters, puppies as well as older dogs. (Even foster failed a couple myself) I understand the importance of routines, regular exercise and the dogs need for companionship. Dogs need love, they need to know someone cares about them always. Socialization is extremely important. I will provide all this to your pet in your absence. It would be a pleasure to care for your dog when you are unable to. My goal is to provide the comfort, companionship and care that your pet would receive from you.

Cathy is extremely loving to animals, reliable, 100% trustworthy for any animal that is in her care. All animals LOVE her, she is extremely loving to them, and sensitive to the care they may need. You could not find a better person, or her family, to take care of your animals. Whether is be sitting and petting them all day, or taking them for a walk, or possibly even playing. You will win with Cathy. And the animals will feel SO LOVED ❤️🐾

Never have dogs outside a secured fenced-in area off leash. Regular vet visits, walks, playdates and grooming are a must. Our dogs are family members, travel with us and are not left alone for long periods of time. One of my dogs has digestive issues and is on a special diet. I make homemade, healthy organic treats, utilize a regular feeding schedule as well as timely potty breaks. Most important, playtime and cuddle time ensures the dog, they are loved and wanted, creating a sense of security.

I do prefer meeting your pet ahead of time to ensure they are comfortable with me and that I am not a stranger when I arrive to care for them. Appreciate any/all information on their personality, do they jump, pull on walks, nip or are aggressive with food and treats.
A typical day
Pets love playtime, if your dog is active, I will toss balls and toys for them to fetch and run with. If your dog prefers, we can sit together and he/she can enjoy belly rubs, back/ear scratches and plenty of pets on the head. I enjoy walking the dogs on a regular basis. The exercise is critical to their health as well as mine. Making sure your pet is relaxed and comfortable is my goal. I do prefer a harness when walking any dog. Allows for more control, no chance of slipping out of collar if scared and less stress on their throat if they pull when walking.

Retired, very flexible with ample availability. I have reliable transportation and would be timely when an apt is made. I would make every effort to make your dog comfortable during my presence.
