There is always somebody at home

Pet care experience

I have loved animals, especially dogs my entire life. Growing up, we always had pets in the house, dogs, cats, turtles, birds, etc. My love for pets has grown a great deal over the years. I currently have 3 dogs and because of them I have taken a pet CPR class and several classes for pet emergencies, ranging from things like seizures to more serious emergencies. I have experience administering medications and also giving insulin or allergy injections. Pets are extremely important to me, my girls are my family and I love them more then anybody would ever realize and I would treats anybody else's pet the exact same way. They have a way of making the worst of days so much better. I previously worked in a kennel and currently work at a pet store. Your pup will go out every 2 hours for potty breaks. I love walks.....I live close to Kuser Park and Veterans park....or they can play in the yard with my girls. They will sleep where they are most comfortable.....probably with me and my girls. I have plenty of treats, unless they have food allergies or the owner would prefer no treats. I prefer to care for smaller pups in my home or yours however large pups will definitely have to be in your home since large dogs make my little 7 lb maltese very nervous! When boarding a new pup in my home I usually gate off my kitchen and introduce my girls to the new pup 1 at a time to ensure they all get along, or I will do it outside in the yard. They will remain separated until I know that they all are getting along. I will never allow all of my girls near the new pup all at once since this can be very stressful for a new dog. Once I know that they all are getting along them I take the gates down or we all go inside. This process cam take as little as an hour but could take longer, depending on the new pup. I do not allow dogs in my home that have not been socialized because that is stressful for all pups involved. I always watch for signs of stress for my girls along with the new pup. If at any time the pup staying with me becomes stressed I would notify the owner and/or emergency contact immediately. (I always ask for at least 2 emergency contacts along with vet information for any pup staying with me/or any pup whose home I go to. I will follow any directions given to me by owner or emergency contact. I have smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors on every floor in my home. My home is also alarmed/ which includes fire monitoring.

Our poodle Phoebe stays with Kathy frequently. We are extremely pleased with her dog service because Phoebe is well cared for and healthy and happy when she comes home.

Cathy was the best cat sitter we've ever had. She was reliable, caring, and highly responsive on short notice. She took fantastic care of our aging diabetic cat, including various means of medication and keeping a close eye on her behaviors and appetite. She cared very much about our pets and we could tell the difference between her and other sitters when we came home to happy pets. We were sad to leave the NJ area in part because it meant finding a new sitter!

Cathy has been pet sitting our little dog Sammy for almost 5 years and we are so happy we have found her! Sammy loves going for walks and we know that Cathy makes sure he gets his exercise. He is so excited when she comes over we know that he is in good hands. Cathy loves all the animals she cares for and it shows. After spending time with Sammy she always texts us and sends a picture to reassure us. We would highly recommend Cathy to be a dog caregiver on your staff, you won't find a more loving, compassionate and honest person to care for the pets of your clients.

Cathy is great with all animals, big and small!! We have used her for years to pet-sit, starting with cats and now with our two large dogs. Our pets are excited to see her and we know that they will be well cared for in our absence. We know that we are leaving our animals in goods hands because Cathy treats them like they were her own.
