Experienced dog foster here to help

Pet care experience

I've had experience with dogs and cats since I was a little girl. More recently I have been fostering dogs and love it. I'm not able to commit to an adoption at this time, so being able to help many different dogs has been amazing. I have currently helped 5 pups find their forever home. So, I figured why not extend my care to people who are looking for a sitter while they're away? I have house/ pet sat for several friends and would love to have a little stay-cation, or extend a stay-cation with some furry company while giving others peace of mind that their pets and house are safe while they're away.

I highly recommend Cathy for a house/pet sitter. Cathy is our first choice house and pet sitter and we are so happy when she can stay. She takes wonderful care of our animals and they just love her. We appreciate the photos she sends of pet cuddles and walks. She always leaves the house so nice to come home to. We really appreciate having the peace of mind while we are away that our furbies (and fishies) are in such good hands.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Cathy for any house sitting or pet sitting needs. She is caring, meticulous, and well-organized. She has a calm demeanor that animals respond exceptionally well to. She communicates fabulously and will listen and respond to any concern or needs you have about leaving your house or pets in her care!

I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to run. I don't have any other animals so your dog can relax be the center of attention here. Of course, they will mostly be inside with me where I have plenty of beds and blankets for lounging. Being a dog foster, I can quickly adapt to any breed. I have fostered a 7 pound chihuahua all the way up to a 120 pound great dane. Many of my fosters needed special medication or care while they were adjusting to their new situations as well. I have done house/ pet sitting for many friends, one of which recently flew me to San Diego to take care of her beloved dog/ cat/ house while she was away. I like to dabble in obedience training so I'd be happy to keep up with any on-going training you may be doing. Also, don't be surprised if you come home to your dog doing a new trick! I'm also a plant lover and would be more than happy to look after your wonderful greenery while you're away. Maybe we can exchange some tips.

Information Cathy R. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know everything I can about their behavior and preferences. Things that trigger them or frighten them would be of upmost importance as it will allow me to further understand their behavior pattern. I want them to be as comfortable as possible and will try to keep them on the same schedule/ routine that they are following at home, so I would appreciate any information about when and where they usually eat, play, sleep, etc.

A typical day

I think it is important to keep a pet's mind stimulated and active. This is done through obedience training and making sure they're earning all the goodies they get with a sit or spin. I also have loads of treats, puzzles, and peanut butter filled Kongs to keep their minds occupied while I am away.

I currently work evenings from 3:00 until 10:30/ 11. If your fur baby is okay in a crate (or fine out of it) while I am away then fabulous. We will have plenty of time during the daytime for play and plenty o cuddles when I get home. My days off are Sunday/ Monday.
