Pet care experience
Responsible, experienced dog owner for about 38 years. I will provide competent and loving care of your fur baby while they are with me. I will walk them if they want or need to be walked I also will play games with them and continue any training that you are already doing with your dog at home. I have experience with puppies, adult dogs as well as senior dogs. I have experience also with dogs with some disabilities. They will be treated like family with full use of the house and the fenced backyard. I also have the experience of training one of my own dogs to be a therapy dog. Her and I worked as a team at hospice. I also love to play fetch with the dogs and play other games with them inside. I dearly love to snuggle with dogs of course if that is what they want to do. I will do puppy training if so desired and will keep them on the same training course. And I will also do potty crate training.

Cathy was so kind! She took wonderful care of our dog and spent a lot of time playing outside with him. He came home happily exhausted. She also sent updates and pictures, and we never worried about him at all while we were gone.
Got daily updates/pictures. And when we picked the doggo up she took a nice long nap from all of her adventures.
Cathy was incredible. So communicative, easy to reach, kind and genuine, plus just a great pet sitter. So happy to have found her.
Cathy was a great host to our senior golden retriever, Summer, who stayed for 7 nights over Christmas. She went on daily walks when she wanted, had plenty of outdoor time and also lots of love. She had surgery on her ear a few days prior to her stay and Cathy was so accommodating with the additional medication and went above and beyond to clean up the wound daily. Summer was obviously very happy with Cathy and I could tell from all the pictures and communication she sent during the stay that Summer was getting all the attention she needed plus additional from family members who came to visit. I am so grateful to Cathy and will definitely be booking again when we take a trip. Highly recommend.

I have a fenced backyard with plenty of room to play. I also have one very sweet senior dog in the house at this time. I know dog first aid and CPR. Dogs within my care will be treated with love and caring like they are members of the family.They will sleep in our bedroom on a dog bed or in a crate if that is what the dog wants and needs. They can’t choose anywhere in the house to sleep though. I occasionally have a grandchild over, and all my grandchildren have dogs in the home and know how to treat them. The grandchildren also love to play with dogs, and do so in an appropriate way. Will only take one clients dog or dogs at a time. Over the years I have cared extensively for my grand dogs and friends dogs.

I would like to know about your dog before you get here. I would like to know if there’s any special medication to be given. Any special needs that would need to be accommodated for. I would also want to know what some of your dogs favorite things to do are. Then for dogs who need it there will be naptime built into the day as well.
A typical day
we will start the day with going outside and then having breakfast. Then we will do a combination of physical exercise both in a walk as well as playing in the fenced in backyard and we will also play indoor games at that stimulates the dogs minds

I have taken an early retirement and can board dogs any day or night of the week. I’ve always had a daily and weekly routine of caring for pets.
