Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Cathy and I am a nurse who is currently on maternity leave. Growing up I have taken care of every pet imaginable. As a young child I grew up in a home with many different animals. We had axolotls, turtles, frogs, crabs, lobster, fish, rats, hamsters, birds, and dogs (both big and small). In terms of dogs, we have owned a Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Shitzhu, Pomeranian/Husky mix, and two rescue dogs from Turkey. I currently own a 3 year old German Shepherd named Riley who is my pride and joy! He is always learning something new as we believe that training is a lifelong process. She has grown up with animals of all shapes and sizes (rodents, birds, cats and dogs) and has shown each and every one of them the most remarkable care and love that I have ever seen. Cathy did day time drop in for our dog while we were away on vacation. Our dog absolutely adores her, and we felt at ease knowing he's in such capable hands.

I make sure to not only walk my dogs but to also provide enrichment by searching for different areas (walking through trails, different neighbourhoods, fields, parks) and taking time to let them sniff the world! I currently walk my dog near the farm by our house so that he can watch the cows!

I feel confident caring for all types of dogs whether they are big or small. My family has owned many dogs ever since I was young. I don't remember a time where we have never had a dog!
A typical day
Each day my goal is to take my dog out for 1-2 hours. Rain or shine we are always outdoors! He is a high energy boy.
