I have loved and cared for both cats and dogs since my first childhood pet (Prince the stray cat) almost 40 years ago. All my animals have been rescues which has meant many challenges and joys from puppy training (crate and washroom) to senior care and everything in between. After my last senior (large breed) dog left my side to join his friends at the rainbow bridge I decided I would need time for my heart to heal before the next adoption. I’m not quite ready for my next forever friend yet, but miss having fur friends around me soooo much. I can’t wait to welcome your fur kids into my home with snuggles, play time and lots of love.

This is our first experience booking a sitter via Rover ! Cathy has been amazing . She provides frequent updates of our pets . Our pup had a lot of socialising with other pups in the neighbourhood. They came home tired and happy .
Cathy was wonderful with Bugsy. She gave her all of her attention and time. I received daily updates and video's of Bugsy. I would definitely recommend her and will definitely take Bugsy back to her when I need to have her looked after.

I don’t have any animals of my own right now, so your friend(s) will get all the attention. I have a fenced backyard with a back door that allows for easy access. I prefer dogs to be house trained, but am happy to accommodate those who are still learning if a crate is provided. I love long or short walks (depending on animal ability) and live near parks and paths for traffic-free walking.

Please let me know in advance of any special or additional needs you pet may have such as special meal prep, medication, behaviour challenges (pulling, jumping, begging etc), as well as things that may stress them out (squirrels, children, other animals)
A typical day
A typical day with your pets will involve snuggles, play time, walks, (some treats of course) and a quiet, sunny spot to nap in. On my down time I like to spend time in the yard gardening or just relaxing, watching tv, doing yoga, or going for walks and jogs.

I mostly work from home and pick up the odd extra shift here and there, so I am home most of the time and only gone for short periods at a time.
