I LOVE dogs, all breeds. Have done rescues in the past also. My current roommate is a gorgeous, gentle Golden Retreiver named Abby. Abby was vetted by St John's Ambulance as a full fledged THERAPY dog. Most of her work was done in seniors old age homes in Toronto pre covid. We moved to Ottawa last October and I would love Abby to have more friends...she's very social. She's now 9 yrs old and a senior herself. While in Toronto, I boarded a three legged border collie named Bryce. He lost a rear leg in an automobile accident. Bryce and Abby became instant beasties and almost a year later and she's still missing him. When I get the occasional call from Bryce 's owner and she hears her voice...Abby immediately goes to the rear door, thinking he's just at the door. So sad. I work part-time freelancing, usually only 3 days a week. I don't work evenings or weekends. My day starts at 7am with Abby's first walk. I'm on the ground floor of a duplex. Laminate durable flooring with access to a secure rear deck and yard. My Abby has the run of my home. My bad.
