I am a grandma with no pets, but lots of experience loving, training and caring for pets. I owned a pet store and grooming salons for 20 years, taking care of and raising exotic birds, cats, dogs, reptiles, fish, horses. I enjoy traveling and staying in owners homes with their pets, it is one less anxiety for the pet and the owner. I will be a good steward of your home and a great care taker to your pet. As I close in on retirement, I enjoy others animals and dote on my grand kitty Astral and grand snake, hiking, biking, reading and exploring new places. Contact me to see if we are a good fit!!

Cathy stayed at our house to watch our 2 chihuahua mixes and our cat while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. The dogs loved her from the moment she stepped in the house to meet them before we left. She would send updates and pictures daily to let us know how all of our babies were doing. She walked the dogs four times a day for us and fed them and the cat. She also cleaned out the cat litter box daily. We will definitely use her again.
This was our first time using Cathy for housesitting, and we are so happy, as is Harriet, our elderly chihuahua. Cathy has a great/gentle vibe. Our home was spotless, as well. We’re already rebooking Cathy for two trips.
Cathy has shown nothing but unconditional love to my spoiled Havanese, Lucy. I have found Cathy to be uber-responsible, kind and positive. She is able to work from wherever her computer is, so Rover is perfect for her and you!
Cathy has taken care of my cat on and off for many years. She is a kind, loving human and she has had numerous animals herself, so she knows how to care for cats and dogs. I have boarded my cat and she has come back with skinny and agitated. With Cathy, she is always her aloof self, hardly acknowledging that I was gone! Cathy is more than a caretaker...she loves up the animals in her care. I would recommend her to any cat or dog lover!

A typical day
I would stick to the owners regular routine with the animals as much as possible. I love long walks on dog friendly trails and dog parks, assuming the owners are agreeable.

Availability
I work from home Monday to Friday, 6 AM-4 PM, giving me plenty of time to walk and care for pets with lots of love and petting thrown in. Weekends, I like to be active outdoors, hiking, biking for part of the day. It will be easy to take care of animals, take them hiking or walking, depending on the animals needs of course and still be available for animal care.
