Growing up, I always had a dog in my home. My lab boxer mixed lived until she was 16 years old and was loved every moment of her life. My dog enjoyed multiple walks a week and was always fed certain times a day. She was extreamly well behaved and knew how to interact around babies and elderly people. I know the environment my dog was raised was the reason why she was such a well behaved pet and lived such a long life.
