We hired Catherine for pet-sitting services for the first time recently, and while we appreciate her helpful care, our experience was marred by some timing issues. We were very flexible with working with Catherine on her schedule, however, she was almost an hour late to feed our cat on one of the days she was scheduled. Despite our agreement to a flexible timeframe with a window of up to two hours, we encountered a delay of almost an hour in the scheduled feeding time for our cat one morning. The job feeding time was set at 8:30 am, with a presumed understanding that the flexibility provided would fall within a reasonable range. However, on Sunday morning, our cat was not attended to until at least 11:15 am, causing concern and prompting us to seek clarification. Upon addressing the matter with Catherine, she expressed a belief that morning and evening times were essentially placeholders rather than definitive commitments. This response left us puzzled, as our expectation was based on the specified time and her request of a two hour window. While we acknowledge Catherine's potential, we suggest a cautious approach to accepting morning assignments, as our experience indicates a potential misalignment with such timeframes. We believe that timely and consistent care is crucial, particularly when it comes to feeding animals, and hope this feedback contributes to an improved service in the future.
