Loving caretaker for all fur babies
Pet care experience
Since I can remember I have always had a family dog to take care of so it comes very natural to me to care for and love on pets in a home. I am a very compassionate woman towards animals and nature and life. I dedicate all my energy and time to every pet I take care of to make sure they are safe, loved, and cared for physically and emotionally. I love animals and have so much respect and love in my heart for them. Where most of my experience comes from is working at a large dog daycare and dog/cat boarding facility. At the facility I have played with, taken care of, and handled many different kinds of breeds from large Mastiffs to small Shih Tzus. During training prior to my employment I learned canine first aid and completed 4 different IBPSA (International Boarding & Pet Services Association) quizzes/certifications that included information on breeds, body language & communication, handling & equipment, and development & health. Once employed at the facility I would bring each dog out for bathroom breaks, bring them in and out of their rooms for other activities like playgroup and 1 on 1 enrichment time. In playgroups I monitored 3 to 6 dogs and sometimes 10 to 12 dogs playing together in groups. With that I’ve walked and handled 4 to 5 dogs at a time and seen first hand different types of play styles and how dogs communicate with other dogs and humans. My favorite part of the day was having 1 on 1 time with a dog to do what they wanted like fetch, cuddles, or mental stimulation activities like sniff matts and treat puzzles.

This was the second time I had booked Catherine, and I couldn’t be happier! I appreciate how she sends me pictures of my Luna enjoying herself during walks or just hanging out in the house. My baby girl looks like she’s smiling in many of the pictures, which is comforting to know that she is happy despite me being away.
Catherine was amazing, and I’m already planning on booking her again for my next trip! She is professional, responsible, and was loving and playful towards my Siberian Husky. I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of my fur baby- It was obvious that she was enjoying Catherine’s company!
Catherine was great! She was great about staying in touch and coordinating things for the first visit of my two pups.
I highly recommend Katherine as a dog sitter. Our little Casper got attached to Katherine when we delivered him to her. She is courteous, sweet, and attentive -- excellent communication and accommodating (we extended an extra day during our trip). Call her Katherine.

I like to take my dogs on at least 2 walks a day around the area I live in, there’s many trails, wooded areas, and large fields so we explore those areas and they get lots of energy out running, playing, and sniffing. I love going on walks with my dogs and will very much enjoy it with your cute pups too! In my home I like to do enrichment toys/activities to burn more energy when I don’t have the time to leave the house. Most dogs love sniffing for food and trying to figure out different treat puzzles so it’s a really good activity to keep their senses sharp and brains healthy if you don’t have the time to physically.

Information Catherine T. would like to know about your pet
I have little but some experience taking care of dogs with physically/mental disabilities whether that be short term injuries or long term diseases. I would like to be aware of these prior to watching your pups so I can give them the correct attention and have the all the information and preferences on how they need to be taken care of and their constant monitoring and daily adjustments for life. Other than that any helpful information you want to give about their personality, dislikes and likes I’d love to be the best human I can be for them:)
A typical day
I believe in the importance of both physical and mental stimulation. With your pups I will take them on walks and add some fun sprints/jogging to burn energy. My favorite place to go with my pups are parks with wooded trails. Mental stimulation for your pups can look like letting them pick the next turn/direction for our walk or completing a snuffle matt treat puzzle.

Availability
I’m available almost everyday to take care of your pups! I work part time which is about 2-3 days a week at a dog daycare/boarding facility but any other day of the week I am available. Although in the near future I will be full time available for pet sitting here on Rover! Other than being part time and having two pups of my own I would love to help take care of your pets everyday too:)
