CVT/CPDT home welcomes your pup!

Pet care experience

We are dog people through and through! My partner I and have 20+ years combined experience in professional animal care, but have been animal lovers for as long as we can remember. I received my CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer) certification and have managed and taught dog training classes and special courses for several years. My partner Adrien has significant history in general, emergency, and specialty veterinary care as a certified veterinary technician. We both currently work at an emergency animal hospital.

I’m so thankful we’ve found Catherine! I don’t worry when I’m out of town and she is caring for Stewie- which is saying something because I am always worrying about Stewie. And he’s made a friend with Cayenne, Catherine’s little pup!

Catherine was incredibly accommodating and we were so happy to leave our puppy in such competent hands. He came back with better manners and obviously well taken care of! He is shy of other dogs so it was great to hear that he became less so while he was with Catherine and her dog. I would highly recommend her for any kind of dog/puppy care!

Catherine took great care of my 12 week old puppy when we had to be out of town for a night! Would definitely use her again!

Catherine has experience with dogs! We knew her as one of the instructors at our puppy school. She is also loving and intuitive with dogs - and responsive with owners! Our dog had a great stay with Catherine, who was also flexible with us regarding scheduling and location. Highly recommend.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a spacious, fully fenced backyard. The dogs get free roam of the house, though we split the downstairs and upstairs with a baby gate. Our dogs are allowed on our furniture and sleep in bed with us. We have three dogs, two older small dogs (Bert and Cayenne) and one younger, playful larger dog (Toast). They all play well together, but Toast is always looking for a dog who can really romp around with him. We do not have cats, just lots of squirrels in the backyard.

Availability

We work the same days with similar hours, and when leaving our dogs, they are home during normal work hours with someone home in early afternoon. Working at a vet means we always have the ability to bring our dogs to work with us! We have long four day weekends that we usually spend at home.
