Pet care experience
I have had the pleasure of caring for pets all of my life. My first pet as a child was a Guinea Pig and that sparked my absolute love for caring for our gentle friends. I have since had dogs, hamsters, a gerbil, several rats, a snake, and currently my two sweet cats! When it comes to dogs, I have personally owned an Akita mix, Labrador/Rottweiler mix, and a Parsons Russell Terrier over the years. I have also helped various friends in the last few years by pet sitting two Cane Corsos, a Pitbull, an English Bulldog, and a Havanese. Several of these dogs were also rescues, so I have experience with the patience and comfort that is sometimes needed when they are scared or confused. I have also raised a puppy to old age, experiencing all the potty accidents through to the eventual medication administration regimens and everything inbetween. My goal is to give you the peace of mind that your furry child is well taken care of and maybe burn some of their energy while I'm at it!

My little girl had to stay at home while we were gone, and I was so reassured that she stayed with Catherine. She made sure she was well taken care of, kept her company so she wouldn’t get upset, and overall went the extra mile at every turn. The daily pictures and summaries put my mind at ease, knowing she had a great friend there to guarantee she was happy. I will definitely make sure she has this kind soul back again when we need someone in the future!!
Catherine was wonderful! She took excellent care of my eldery cat who needs medication. She updated me with photos daily. She gave my cat lots of love and attention.

For dog walking, they will receive positive and enthusiastic responses with they go potty and when they listen well. For house sitting, I would be sure to give your pets plenty of attention (if they want it) and try to engage them in some kind of enrichment. I understand that pets can get sad when they favorite people are gone for extended periods, so I will do my best to try to keep them entertained and lift their spirits. If there is a strict schedule for walks, food, or meds then I will set alarms on my phone to be sure they stay on track.

I would always want to know if there are any specific actions that would negatively accept your pet. Examples: loud noises, petting a certain spot that might be sore, no petting possible, taking a certain toy away, approaching while they're eating, etc. Of course, I would also love to know what is your pet's favorite toy, favorite treat, or favorite spot to get scratched. Anything that makes them happy and relaxed will be great to know so I can keep their spirits up while their favorite people are away.
A typical day
A typical day's activities would be catered to each pet. I do love to pet, scratch, and play with dogs and cats, but I understand that not every pet wants, or is capable, of active play or being pet. For dogs, we can play fetch, tug-of-war, go for a walk, or they can just lounge around and get pet. For cats, I am laser pointer adept, but I also function well as a cat bed while they enjoy receiving pets.

I live in Cumming and work full-time in Canton, 8:30AM-5PM from Monday through Friday. I am available before work, after work, and on the weekends.
