Catherine is the definition of an animal lover. As someone who has never had a pet, I never realized how attached humans could be to their animals until I met Catherine. She was my freshman-year roommate, and still my roommate 5 semesters later, and I was shocked to learn about her childhood. She grew up on a farm, with tons of farm animals, dogs, and cats.
