Your doggo’s new best friend!
Pet care experience
***Clients: I am taking a leave of absence from Rover sitting to take care of family. When I am able to return, I will update my status to active. Thank you for understanding.*** Hi! I’m Catherine, and I’m a dog mom to 12-year-old Siberian husky, Khuno. As a dog owner, I know how important trust and reliability matter when entrusting your pet to someone else's care. While your pet(s) are in my care, I will offer them the same level of love and attention I give to my own fur baby. Over the years, I’ve cared for many of Khuno’s four-legged friends, including Harley, a golden/chow mix; Ranger, a miniature Aussie; Kelvin, a black lab; and Kilo, a chocolate lab. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me with their pets when they have gone on vacation or business trips. It has been such a fun and rewarding experience that I decided to join Rover! I am currently focusing my service offerings around house sittings. Booking me for a house sitting means that while you travel, I essentially live out of your home for the duration of your absence. During my stay, I try to adhere to your pet's normal schedule as much as possible. So while you are away, your pet receives individual care as an alternative to boarding. I treat your home and your pet(s) with the utmost respect and aim for as little disruption as possible. This also means that I typically only take on one client at a time. Though there might be occasional overlap requiring me to offer a drop-in or walk for another client's pet during our booking timeframe, I only ever offer in-home services. So your pet(s) are never introduced to other clients' pets.
Reviews
Catherine watched our two big, very active dogs for over a week. I am usually stressed about leaving them, but Catherine set my mind at ease by being extremely communicative with me and caring with them. She provided them with lots of love, attention, and exercise, and I felt great knowing they were in good hands while we were far away. Can't thank her enough for taking such good care of them!
Catherine was awesome from start to finish. She communicated daily with photos and updates. Our Weimaraner was in great hands. We highly recommend Catherine.
Catherine was absolutely amazing when she house sat for us. She was very professional and caring for our senior dog. We received photos each day with a little recap about the day. You can tell how thoughtful she is through the initial in take form she prepared, and the great condition she left our house. Cannot recommend her enough.
Catherine stayed with Oscar for the week we were out of town, and I don’t think he even missed a beat! This was our first time with an overnight sitter and it worked out very well. Oscar seemed completely happy when we arrived home. Catherine did a great job of keeping Oscar on his schedule, and I appreciated the daily updates and photos. Catherine also watered a few of my potted plants throughout the week which was super helpful! The house was extremely tidy upon our return - we’ll definitely have Catherine back again!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my number one priority. Before booking, please contact me about a complimentary meet and greet. I will ask a number of questions about your pet's routine, likes and dislikes, and any medications, triggers, or behavioral matters I should know. The meet and greet is also our opportunity for your pet to meet me so that you and I both feel comfortable with them in my care. If your pet has any territorial or stranger reactivity or even separation anxiety, please let me know truthfully! While I reserve the right to turn away clients with aggressive animals, I am generally open and accepting of a wide spectrum of animal behavior, and I ask about this not to judge but only to ensure that I am caring for your pet in the best possible way. Between the time of our meet and greet and your travel, I will also send you a link to a client intake form. Though the form asks many of the same questions that we will cover in person, this documentation is a very helpful reminder for me, especially as some time can pass between our introduction and my stay, and because I do not wish to have any inadvertent mix-ups in between client bookings. Please take the time to fill out the form prior to your travel so we can both have peace of mind while your pet(s) are in my care! Because I am staying in your home, my intake form also asks some basic questions about etiquette and safety for myself as well. If you anticipate anyone else having access to your home at the same time as me, PLEASE give all parties advance notice so that there are no surprises.
Information Catherine G. would like to know about your pet
Between the meet and greet and my client intake form, we will review emergency contact information, basic information about your pet, your pet's routines (eating, sleeping, bathroom, walks/activities/play), as well as their health and behavior. And finally, I ask a few questions about etiquette and safety for myself in your home. All pets must be current on vaccines prior to booking.
A typical day
While in the past I have offered dog boarding in my home, I am not currently able to accommodate any client pets at my condo. Instead, I do my best to follow your pet's routine in your home with as few disruptions as possible!

Availability
In addition to Rover, I have a 9-5 day job. My work is hybrid, requiring me to be in office 1-2 days/week, but otherwise working from home. On days I am in office, I may be away from your home for ~8 hours at a time. But when present, I make sure to prioritize plenty of snuggles, pets, and play while following your dog or cat's routine. During a house sitting, I can also provide other small, complimentary household tasks within reason. If you need the mail brought in, the trash taken out, or house plants watered, please let me know. If you are traveling on a holiday and I am available for bookings, a holiday rate will apply on those dates.
