Pet care experience
I have loved animals for as long as I can remember and started taking care of my neighbors' cats when I was barely 10 years old. Since then, I have pet sit for my neighbors' cats and dogs and walked my neighbors' dogs as needed. I have also volunteered in an aquarium, at local shelters, and at a wildlife rehab center. I graduated from the University of Washington with a certificate in Applied Animal Behavior in 2022. Since then I have made looking after your furry friends my full time job. This summer I also started assisting at a highly rated dog training school. While I am not a trainer yet, I hope to be one day!
Reviews
Catherine is awesome. She’s on time, detailed in her reports, takes great pictures but most importantly she clearly loves taking care of animals. Catherine asked if I had any specific routes I wanted her to walk my pup and after telling her about a few areas around my house that triggers reactions in my dog, she took it upon herself to switch the routes completely to better suite his needs. She dropped by several times over two separate days to walk and check in on my pup and by second day, he had clearly warmed up to her like she was another family member. Would recommend and use her services again.
We felt comfortable leaving our fur babies with Catherine because she has great cat energy. Our shy guy seemed to really warm up to her. Overall everything went well. She didn't hesitate to ask us any questions, which we always appreciate.
Thank you for your wonderful care!
Thank you for taking care of us today! Lily and Leroy We are home safe! Thank You! Kim and Brian

Safety, trust & environment
When walking your dogs, I will make sure they are on leash at all times and will monitor their body language to make sure they are comfortable. I am happy to take water bowls and bottled water with me to make sure they stay hydrated. If I am taking care of your pets inside your home, I will follow all rules you leave me to make sure they stay safe, happy, and secure.
Information Catherine D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs and, in particular, if they are dog reactive or people reactive. I want to give your dog the best possible experience while keeping everyone safe! Please also let me know what type of collar or harness you want me to use when walking your dog and whether or not they pull hard on the lead.
A typical day
I would love to provide your dog with both physical and mental stimulation. I'm happy to toss a ball or Frisbee as long as your pup desires and will make sure to let your dog get in plenty of sniffs along their walks since they see the world through their noses! I can set up puzzle mats or other games at home. I'm also happy to work on any obedience commands you are teaching your furry friend. If you have a cat, I love playing with the "string on the stick" (in all of its many form) or any other types of games your cat prefers.
