Pet care experience
I have been immersed in the dog care industry for the past 8 years. I have worked in kennels, play yards, daycare, training, boarding, and managing in the industry. I have worked with professional trainers and attended several conferences. I am able to recognize dog signals and adjust behaviors to keep all dogs happy. I use positive reinforcement with pups and keep it happy.

If you are reading these reviews trying to see if you can really trust this person out of the many others on this platform to take care of your dog and love them like your own, LOOK NO FURTHER! ? Cate (and her husband Wade!) was/were absolutely amazing to my newly rescued, very active, and on-and-off anxious dog Ranger. I’d had a bad boarding experience not too long before having to find a sitting to leave him with for the day and I was so scared to let him go to another strangers house. Cate was happy to listen and easy to talk to about being a new dog owner and all that comes with that. Communication with Cate was astounding and it was heartwarming to see and hear about what Ranger was up to so I never worried. He really blossomed under her care (I legit think he fell in love with her and Baxter haha!) and came back tired and SO happy. I can’t ask for anything more. TLDR; I would move mountains for Ranger to be able to stay with Cate again. Don’t hesitate to book her!
Cate is such a breath of fresh air!! Our lil pug, Sammy, had such a blast and she took great care of him while we went out of town. She also provided pictures and videos of him during his stay. We certainly appreciate everything that Cate does and will definitely recommend her to others. Sammy is looking forward to his next play date with Cate!
Not sure who loves Cate more.. me or Clementine??? I am one of those moms who could write you a whole essay of their puppy's quirks and guidelines. Especially since Clementine is 8 months old, she can have quite a bit of energy and some reactivity. Cate did an amazing job listening to my worries and understood them all. She made sure to let Clementine feel comfortable and eased her into meeting all of the dogs for playday. Clementine normally gets anxious when I leave her with others, but all of her worries quickly went away! She loves being with Cate and her pups. Will definitely be a regular!
My dogs went to Cate’s house tonight! We have an early flight in the morning so she offered to start their vacation tonight. She always works with me To make things convenient. Going to Cate’s house truly is a vacation for our fur babies. My Aussie loves to play with her dogs and he learned how to act appropriately and play gentle with her cats. He gets extremely excited when I ask him if he wants to go see the kitty cats. My sheltie is a tough sell. He is afraid of everyone and he also likes going to stay with Cate. I worry about him because he is only 21 pounds and he is not a fighter. We needed someone to watch our dogs so that we could go on vacations/trips when needed. I found Cate and we were hooked. I started with a day trip and my dogs came home at the end of the day calm and relaxed. I could tell they had a great time at her house. So I started dropping them at her place for every vacation and now I don’t think we could live without her. The first time I dropped our Aussie off for a vacation I was so worried about him. I was so scared that I called the boarding facility a few times to check in him. But now I never worry about my fur babies when I’m on vacation. There is no better feeling than knowing my dogs are safe while I’m out of town. My dogs love Cate and I drop them off for a day or two every month just to play and stay familiar with her household routines. I have left them with her for as long as 8 or 9 days at a time and they never come home traumatized or stressed. I always check with Cate before I book a vacation because I won’t leave my boys with anyone else. If you are looking for a pet sitter, Give Cate a day to get to know your pet. If the day goes well, you can feel comfortable leaving him/her for a week or two and go enjoy your vacation! Your pet will love vacationing at Cates house instead of a boarding facility. The peace of mind is the best thing that Cate gives our family when we’re away from our boys.

My house is arranged for the dogs! There are beds and toys everywhere (or put away as needed). I also have several open crates for safe spaces. I do allow animals on the furniture but I am happy to abide by the rules you set for your own dog. My husband works a full time job but when he is home, he is snuggling a dog. We have an older Aussie who loves to play and sleep and a border collie that can sometimes take time to warm up but she is playful. The cats don’t interact much with dogs and have their own safe place to go. Our yard is fenced in, it’s not super big but they can run and play. I have access to a dog friendly swimming pool as well.

Are there any types of dogs your pet doesn’t get along with? Is your dog afraid of anything (vacuums etc) Does your dog sleep in a crate? Does your pet have any allergies, medical needs, or emotional needs?
A typical day
We have so many toys and I know a lot of enrichment games to play with all types of dogs. I live to hike trails and take dogs swimming if allowed. I prefer to stay away from dog parks with other peoples dogs. We also have couches and beds galore for the couch potatoes. There are several pet stairs to use as well.

I am available full time 7 days a week. I own a small resale business that is based out of my home. If I am going away from home, I schedule it around any dogs in my care. I am also open to long term arrangements.
