Adventure loving dog/cat babysitter
Pet care experience
I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats through my family pets I grew up with and now borrowing my friend's furry companions to explore the great outdoors and have some quality cuddling! Comfortable with any breed of dogs and cats and giving medication if required. I have a fenced yard and I am not far from Bowness River and dog parks to take your fur friend on some adventures. I am willing and able to crate the dog/cat if required and someone is always at home to care for their needs if spending the night. I am currently only offering HouseSitting where animals can be left alone for up to 8 hrs as I work a 8-4:30 job in downtown Calgary. I am hoping to be able to do some days online in the future but I am currently required to be in the office 5 days a week. I currently don’t have a car so ideally located close to the train or bus route.

I have booked Catalina twice for pop in visits to play and feed my kitty. She is 100% trustworthy and I feel at ease leaving my cat in her care while I am away. She provides daily updates with photos.
This was my first time using Rover and was so pleased with the experience! Catalina’s photos and updates while away gave peace of mind. We came home to a happy and calm cat.
Catalina did a great job of updating us on how our senior dog was doing while we were away for 3 days. She sent us pictures and updates. Our home was left the same as when we found it. I would use her again and definitely recommend her.
Catalina is reliable, friendly and keeps in touch through the day. I’d highly recommend her!

Knowledge of any special needs/behaviour issues/medication prior to our time together is greatly appreciated. Happy to accommodate any breed of dog or cat. Currently do not have any experience with special needs dogs but willing to learn through assistance and meet and greets.
A typical day
If the owners are okay with it, I would love to take the dog out for some hikes in Kananaskis and Banff National Park. I also live close to a dog park which they can explore as well as near Bowness River and I am happy to take them down for an exciting walk filled with new smells and some wet playtime (again, if the owner is ok with them swimming) (I am a certified lifeguard and feel beyond capable of my swimming skills and rescuing procedures if required).

Availability
I am currently working full time in downtown Calgary - being away from home for up to 9hrs at a time (with commute). I will make it a priority to get back to your furry friend as soon as possible and ensure they’re walked (if required) in the morning and in the evenings.
