10 years working in animal welfare

Pet care experience

I have 10 years experience working in shelter medicine. I can easily assess basic medical issues a more inexperienced caretaker might miss and let you know if a trip to the vet might be needed. I am an expert in all things cat related, but welcome caring for dogs as well. I do best with well-behaved or shy/fearful dogs. Most behavior issues are welcome, but challenging, high-arousal dogs might best be referred to a more experienced behavior expert. Lots of chicken-related experience if you have an urban flock! Who better to watch over your treasured family members than me?

Cat was great! She helped us look after Polly during Christmas holiday season .. Polly is very shy, but Cat made her very comfortable. Such a big big help !! thanks Cat and hope to work with you in future soon..

Cat is an awesome coworker of mine (we work together at the ASPCA). We have worked side by side for a few years now on a multitude of animal cruelty cases. She is extremely caring, detail oriented, and responsible! I would absolutely have no hesitations in having her caring for your beloved pet- she is so trustworthy and honest!

I always take time to let the pet get to know me before approaching. I prefer to let them come to me, so I’m not invading their space.
