Kind and Loving Dog Walker/Sitter
Pet care experience
I have owned a dog for almost my entire life, and know how important it is to leave them with someone trustworthy while away for any length of time. I currently have a rescue who is obsessed with fetch, so we spend a lot of time outdoors on long walks and trips to parks all over the northwest side of the city. I’m very comfortable with all sizes of dogs, as well as all breeds, and really love any opportunity to encounter the pure joy that dogs bring to us all the time! I hope you’ll consider me for your dog-walking and pet sitting needs!

I understand that trust with an animal takes time to build, and I’m happy to meet with you and your pet prior to walking them or staying at your home. Making sure you and your pet are comfortable with me is my top priority, and while on walks I will also make sure to be aware of any safety needs such as using a harness/gentle leader/muzzle, etc. and any health or behavioral needs that require adjustments to walking schedule and/or walking location.

How do they react to new people; how can I best support them so they don’t feel fearful of me being a new person in their space? How long do you typically walk them? Do they have meds that need administering?
A typical day
I really enjoy walking along nature trails - through metro parks or along Shaker Lakes. I love to take dogs exploring! We can hop in my car and go to a park, or stay in your neighborhood and take a route that isn’t their typical route, so they can experience something new. If you have a fenced yard, I love to play fetch with dogs! If not, we can do some fun games inside, like hiding treats under a towel or blanket for them to find. I really like providing mental and physical exercise for your pet.

Availability
I am available for walks and sitting on weekends, but can also take on weeknight walks if you have to work late unexpectedly. I will work with you to find days and times that can fit in both of our schedules, and can be flexible to meet the needs of your pet and family.
