Low energy? High energy? I got you!

Pet care experience

I grew up on a hobby farm, so I have years of experience taking care of many different animals. I have also volunteered at HSDC to train and socialize animals through a course at UW-Superior. I can work with any level of energy, and always look forward to time I spend with animals!

Cassie was wonderful to work with!! She kept us well informed on what our boy was up to, sending pictures here & there. She was very pleasant & on time with meet & greet & the start/end of her stay. Would definitely book her again!!!

Cassie is absolutely wonderful with my two Chihuahua mixes. One is very low energy so she gets lots of cuddles from Cass. The other is extremely HIGH energy. Cass plays with him and tires him out!!!! They both love Cass and are so excited to see her! I love knowing my babies are in great hands with Cass.

Cassie is awesome with pets of all types! She comes over and plays with my dog Kenai all the time! He absolutely loves her! She is great with walking dogs and caring for many different animals. She has so much energy and can offer so much to your pets!

Safety, trust & environment

I can feed, bathe, walk, and play with pets, and I plan to take grooming classes in the near future. I abide by owners’ requests and restrictions if it is communicated to me. I have not had experience yet with pets requiring medications, so if your pet has medication, please be clear with instructions. If your pet is on the side of low energy, I can keep activities and stimulation to a minimum. If they are more high energy, I can play or go for a walk to get some energy out. (My friends often have me play with their dogs to tire them out towards the evenings.)

Information Cassie S. would like to know about your pet

First and foremost- is/are your dog(s) nervous with new people? Any specific type of person? Do they dislike people wearing sunglasses or hats? (I had a close call with a dog because I didn’t know he didn’t like people wearing hats, so now I ask all owners.) Are they reactive to other dogs? Cats? Any information you are aware of along these lines is appreciated. Next- does/do your dog(s) have any medications I may need to administer while I’m watching them? Please be clear with instructions to avoid miscommunication. Also, if you know of anything that causes your dog(s) irritation (perfume/cologne, lotions, other substances) please let me know- just in case. Also- Do you have waste bags for when I’m on walks with your dog(s)? Where do I dispose of it if needed? Last- general personality info would be nice, and treat preferences if you know them (for training purposes). One final note— if YOU have any extreme allergies, please let me know! I cook a lot, and I engage in many other activities dealing with possible allergens, and I don’t want to accidentally cause you to react to anything.

A typical day

I can do Just about anything to keep dogs busy! I can do a simple walk, or even a run with them, and if there is space at your home, I can play for hours! I like to play fetch, but I usually end up playing keep-away, whether I’m the one keeping it or not. If you would like, I can also start (or continue) training them for obedience, or fun tricks! (I will not provide treats, to avoid any possible illness or irritation to your dog(s).)

Availability

I currently help take care of my roommate’s dog and cat, and I’m super excited to have a puppy of my own starting this September! As the school year begins, I will re-evaluate my availability. I may not be a student anymore, but my work schedule will change as students come back to campus where I work.
