Pet care experience
I’ve lived with and cared for dogs my entire life. There isn’t a time where we haven’t had a dog in my house. I love all animals equally. I’ve been riding and training horses for about nine years now and it is a very strong passion of mine. I have experience caring for many different breeds and sizes of pets, specifically dogs, and cats. I’ve cared for dogs all ages from a few months old, to 14 years old. I am experienced in administering different medications for dogs such as pills and insulin. I’ve cared for many different animals, such as dogs, cats, chinchillas, horses, snakes, geckos, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I am also open to learning how to care for other animals as well! *MYSELF AND MY HOUSEHOLD HAVE BEEN VACCINATED* I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pet! I work weekends for 4 hours a night, but my parents are always home while I am at work, and will be able to care for your pet while I am at work. I am a full time undergrad student at Sacred Heart University, with the intention to go to law school. I am currently completing my classes from home via ZOOM, therefore giving me more time to be with your pet as well. I am flexible and able to work with any schedule you may need! We have a fenced in yard, as well as leads for your pet. If your pet is trained and able to be off the leash, they will be in a completely fenced in yard, and if they require a lead, we have those too. I will also take your dog on a leash if need be. I love going on hikes, and if you are comfortable I will take your pet on a leashed hike as well. I live with my parents at home, and they are available to care for your pet as well. If your pet is allowed on furniture, we allow your pet on the couch, and on our beds. We have one dog, a morkie which is a malteese and yorkie mix. She is 11 years old but very active and playful. She is used to other pets in the home, since we had a dog before her. She also is used to having new dogs in the home as we have watched many peoples dogs. If your pet is friendly with other pets they will be able to play, but if your pet is not pet friendly, we can separate them. She is usually very friendly though so hopefully she and your pet can become friends!

Cassie was a life saver after another sitter fell through at the last minute. Reached out to Cassie that morning and she came by for a quick meet-and-greet and it was instantly obvious dogs are comfortable with her (mine’s usually not so keen on random people but was totally fine with Cassie). Needless to say she did a great job, very communicative and totally put us at ease so we could enjoy our night away.

Cassie is great, she came to take our rescue dog out while we were going to be away for the day. She was on time and my dog loves her, and he doesn't just let anyone in the house. She even noticed a vehicle parked at the end of my driveway, texted me to let me know, stayed longer, took a picture and asked them what they were doing. I would recommend her 100 percent. Great service and wonderful with my dog!
Cassie kept our terrier mix and leopard gecko in her home when we went out of town for a week. She took care to learn about both pets’ needs and was gentle and kind with them. Would definitely use Cassie again!

Before caring for someone’s pet, I always ask for their vets information, as well as an emergency contact. If they have any special needs such as medications, I would like to be aware of that ahead of time so that I am aware of the exact needs of your pet! It is also important for me to know if your pet has any restrictions, such as if they are not allowed on furniture, if they are allowed in the car for trips, and if they get along with other dogs, as I do have a dog in my home. If your pet does not get along with other dogs, that can be accounted for, I would just need to know ahead of time!
A typical day
I love spending quality time with all different pets! We can enjoy walks and hikes, as well as playing games such as fetch, or anything else your dog enjoys! I have a great trail near my home which I would love to take your pup on! If there are any specific trails or dog parks which you know of and are comfortable with your dog going to, I would love to go there as well!
