Pets have always been my best friends, and they bring me the most joy and comfort in life. I grew up with my grandparents in southern California, who bred pugs around the time of my birth. I was raised taking care of my own dogs, cats, turtles, fish, and birds, as well as becoming the neighborhood pet-sitter since I was 5 years old. My first job was in high school at a pet hospital, boarding, and daycare center, providing daily care for 30+ dogs and cats at a time and running doggy day care. I have extensive experience feeding, administering medication, walking, and cuddling many animals with varying needs, both for personal enjoyment and in a professional setting. At the time I moved out of my childhood home, my family had 5 dogs, 4 cats, a tortoise, and a pond of koi fish. When I left, I brought with me my first cat, named Willow, a small, tailless Manx with a neurological condition called hyperesthesia. She made the cross-country drive with me when I moved from CA>CT, and again when I moved from CT>AZ. She passed recently, and I am now caring for one of my other childhood home cats named Baby, a sweet rescue who needs some help managing her weight. I recently adopted a kitten named Guts, a wildly energetic yet incredibly gentle and sweet 4 month old boy. Surrounding myself with animals and tending to their needs has always been the most therapeutic and rewarding experience in my life. I am so excited to make new furry friends, discover their personalities, make special connections with them, and be there for them when they need it most.
