Excited to care for pawfect pets!

Pet care experience

I am so excited to care for all the Pawfect pets! All around I am a pet lover, I’ve had dogs since I was two years old! I’ve had dogs of all sizes and can adequately care for any dog! Nothing makes me happier than a wagging tail and four paws! Going away is stressful, make sure your furry family members are in the best hands! They will be well cared for and so happy! Walks, and toys and treats oh my! No dogs left behind or forgotten! I am also willing to watch any other animals you may have as well! If you miss your babies at any point or just want to see them I’d be more than happy to have you FaceTime them on my phone!

To start, I booked Cassidy when I was in a pinch over the weekend. My usual sitter quit and didn’t give notice so I needed someone to walk, feed and love my dog, Dakota, as well as let her out of her kennel twice while I worked. All of this was explained to Cassidy. I gave her the time frame of 4-5 and 7-8 as she could go over anytime between those hours. I left detailed instructions and went over Care with her beforehand. She did mention payment in cash after not confirming the booking through Rover. The potential problems with this is that if the booking is not made through the Rover platform, Rover won’t cover anything that happens to my pets or my home. I asked twice to confirm the booking and she would not. Since I was in a pinch, I had to accept it. At 4:45 I messaged her to see if she had gone over yet and she said she was on her way and had a work issue. No problem, that happens to everyone sometimes. At 5pm she started the stay. She sent me two photos of Dakota and my indoor only cat playing outside. My bad, I forgot to tell her that both cats are indoor only and that the one may try to escape to the yard. She put him away when I requested. Cassidy mentioned that she would have to go back to work after the stay so after questioning, she told me she wouldn’t be able to do the second stay but would stay for an hour at this stay. She didn’t offer this information to me and, if I hadn’t asked, I don’t think she would’ve told me. I did have to scramble to find other arrangements for the second visit, which was very inconvenient for me to do at work. Had I not been able to find a family member or not been told, Dakota would’ve been left in her kennel from 6pm when Cassidy left to 12:00am when I got home, when I request that she never be in the kennel for more than 4 hours with any sitter. Honestly, I was pretty upset but I get that work happens. During this stay, even though I informed her that Dakota eats between 7 and 9 as well as that I had found someone to cover the second visit, Cassidy still fed her during the 5-6 time frame. I understand she was trying to be helpful but this led to Dakota having hunger pukes first thing in the morning. All of this I could breathe and deal with, as Cassidy was supposed to have 3 more visits with Dakota. When my family member stopped over for Dakota’s second visit around 9pm, they found my 15 yr old, declawed, 6 lb cat locked into the garage on a colder evening, covered in cobwebs and dirt. Sadly, this was the final straw for me. God forbid, if anything happened to her while she was locked outside, with the door to the back yard open, or any animals found their way into the garage to attack or harm her, she wouldn’t have been covered. Had Dakota been injured or lost during the course of the stay, she wouldn’t have been covered. All because Cassidy said she didn’t want Rover to take the taxes and fees out of the payment for the service. I sent Cassidy a message regarding the cat in the garage and ultimately ended up finding family members to do the last few visits this weekend. At this point, I notified Cassidy about the change in plans, modified the booking myself, she finally confirmed the booking, and I paid for what should have been two visits. We all have bad days and work sometimes requests more than we can juggle with our personal lives and other commitments. However, Rover is also a job and clients need to be notified immediately of any changes in plans. Would I book her again? No, but perhaps other clients will have a better experience than I did.

Cassidy is such a loving, caring, trustworthy person. She absolutely adores animals and has had many pets in the past who she has cared for. She’s definitely someone that I trust with my dog, who absolutely loves Cassidy. She’s so responsible, especially when it comes to timeliness, being gentle and kind, and caring for animals.

I have never met someone who has such an unconditional love for every animal she meets. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.
