I have always had a dog in my life. Growing up, I have lived with and live with 2 Rottweilers, Cocker Spaniel, a Dachshund, and German shorthair pointer. Getting hair on clothes is just a normal thing for me. I am used to dogs with different personalities and I don't mind nose kiss or dogs jumping up out of excitement (clothes are meant to be dirty anyway). I love taking dogs for walks (or runs). I am willing to tire your dog out on our walks/runs or just to take in their daily exercise. I can take your dog to dog parks if that is a preference or just to a park. I am also a cat person and understanding boundaries when it comes to petting a kitty.

Cassidy did a great job! I'm sure my cat was a pain because I didn't want him to go outside while we were gone. She sent regular picture updates and let me know if his bathroom breaks were irregular. Will definitely book again in the future!

I keep dogs leashed at all times unless other arrangements have been arranged and discussed. I carrying water and water bowl on me at all times with constant water breaks. My phone will only be out when we are stationary and for dog walking related work (pictures anyone?). In home, I can provide pictures of the dog as needed. Lastly, odd behavior will be brought up.

Things I like to know about a dog is temperament, energy levels, and how the dog behaviors around people, dogs, cats, small animals (squirrels, etc.) and children. I have no breed preference as long as their temperament is controllable.
A typical day
To start, I will stay mainly in the neighborhood, leashed. This is so the dog and I can get to know each other and I can find out the behavior of your dog. Once we are comfortable with each other, I am willing to take the dog a park that has an enclosure or a wide open area to unleash the dog to play (again this would be discussed and approved by you). Once everyone is comfortable, I am willing to take the dog for a hike in some of the trails around Vancouver/Portland. My play depends on the dog but fetch, tug a war, a good run/walk, bubbles (dog safe ones), chasing a toy, and many other.

Availability
I do work full time up until 7AM-4PM Monday-Friday. This means I can drop in on your furry friend early morning or evening. If you need your dog walked, I will have an entire evening.
