Hello there, My name is Cassandra Noort and I am 29 years old. I was born in New Westminster and now live in Burnaby. I’m in full time school right now, so I’m more available evenings and weekends. I have 3 older sisters and 1 younger brother and growing up we had several different pets, two of which I will share with you. We started out with having a rabbit named Twinkie whom had so much personality! We took him for walks on a little harness, we made him obstacle courses in our basement with boxes to which he would have to find the carrots, and we took him for bike rides with him sitting in our bike basket. He would even come when called! After Twinkie's passing we managed to convince our mom to get a dog to which our dad eventually obliged as well. Bailey became our family dog and she was such a joy to have. She was a shepherd/Border Collie mix and we spent a ton amount of time outside with her. Just like Twinkie, we went on tons of walks, made her obstacle courses with dog treats for her to find (and sometimes carrots still), and she ran along side us on our many bike rides as well. I often look back at those fond memories with my bunny and dog and that is why I would love to spend time hiking and going for walks with your dog/s via Rover. I am currently in school Monday-Friday from 8am-2pm. I am more available on weekends anytime and evenings/nights.

Cassandra is my go-to pup sitter whenever I’m away or travelling! She takes such good care of my little 8-pound Shih-Poo Zoey, going for walks every day, playing, snuggling, taking pictures and videos to send to me while I’m away. I can relax and trust that my pup is in great hands and just enjoy my vacations! Zoey absolutely adores her! Cassandra is also a very thoughtful guest, and even left me a bowl of homemade soup for when I got home along with a clean and tidy house. Couldn’t be more grateful to have found her. ❤️

I love all dogs. Through dog-sitting both strangers and friends dogs, I have experience with lots of different types of dogs. I have cared for large and small, young and old, kind/friendly and aggressive, well-trained and not trained much, and the most energetic dogs as well. I would like to know ahead of time if your dog is friendly first with humans and if they are friendly with other dogs. I would like to know if your dog has any strong fears or anxieties, if they are able to ride in a vehicle, and if they have any physical ailments. Knowing these things about your dog will not stop me from taking the time to care for your dog, but me knowing these things about your dog will enable me to be a better care-taker for your dog.
A typical day
As I mentioned earlier, I grew up with a dog named Bailey. Unfortunately she was attacked by another dog in her early years to which she was never the same after. She became very aggressive towards other big dogs, hence we never went to dog parks with her or even walked anywhere without her leash on. But! With your dog I will love to take them to the dog park (I know several around Burnaby, New West, Coquitlam area). If there is a good chunk of time, I will go on hikes with your dog and I really enjoy walking Burnaby, Deer and Como Lake and the dykes in Pitt Meadows. I just love being outside, so your dog will be outside a lot with me.

I’m currently in school Monday - Friday from 8am-2pm. I’m more available late afternoons, evenings and weekends. Overnights work too, but I’ll have to leave quite early for school.
