If I could, I would adopt more rescue dogs. But there are a lot of dogs out there longing for activity and companionship while their people are away taking care of life's other responsibilities. I've been lucky to have great dogs, to foster great dogs (and a few naughty ones), and to care for my friends' dogs in addition to my own. I want to help ease your doggie guilt while you're away by caring for your pup, playing and interacting, so that you have peace of mind. I like to get to know their personalities so each experience is unique and rewarding to the dog, owners and me. I provide your pup with beach walks, runs, plenty of play, neck scruffs, treats and attention.

Cassandra was fantastic with our puppies! They are both rescues and it takes time for them to trust humans but, they took to Cassandra right away!! We would definitely recommend Cassandra!!
Cassandra is beyond wonderful to our pup Isla! We just adopted our pup a few days ago and needed help since we work during the weekends. Cassandra has stayed in our home and watched our dog while we were away on many occasions. We have a very active German Shorthaired Pointer that needs a lot of exercise and attention. Our dog adores Cassandra because she takes such wonderful loving care of her and always takes her out on long hikes. It’s much easier to leave our beloved dog when we know she is in such capable and nurturing hands. We highly recommend Cassandra to anyone that needs a pet sitter.

Before sitting for a dog, I would need to know if the dog has any fear or aggression, or if he or she has any medical needs or special dietary needs. I require that dogs I am boarding are fully house trained and get along with my dog. My preference is to meet the dog prior to sitting or walking to ensure compatibility and that I am the right person for the job. I am comfortable with off-leash dogs (as mine is), in allowed areas, as long as he/she has excellent recall on command.
A typical day
I do have 2 large back decks right on the water and fenced in, a perfect place to get a little sun and watch the boats and birds. I live adjacent to a park and close to the beach, for plenty of runs and walks or ball/frisbee play. I like to be active, but can certainly slow it down for mellow or aging dogs. Squeaky toys and play are welcome in the house as well.
