Pet care experience
I currently walk and sit dogs for 6 regular clients. My clients usually contact me when they go out of town for vacation or other events, so I am expected to feed, administer medications, and walk them multiple times a day whenever I am called. I am also a runner, so if your dog loves to run, we will get along even better! I've lived in households with dogs my whole life, usually Labradors and other retrievers but am pretty comfortable with dogs of most sizes, however if they are especially strong and heavy (90lb+) we will need to go on a few “test run” walks to make sure that it will be safe for us to work together. The dogs I currently look after are labs, bordoodles, a poodle, and an adorable elderly blue heeler.

Cassady watched my parents house, 2 dogs and 2 cats for a long weekend and was wonderful! One of the dogs had a medical issue that needed regular attention and Cassady was very attentive to him and made sure that he was taken care of. Cassady took great care of their house as well, and was very prompt and professional in communication.
Bowie really liked Cassady and she took good care of him. She was flexible and I felt comfortable having her in my home. Thanks for taking good care of Bowie and keeping my house tidy!

If your dog as any troubles or special needs, just give me a rundown and I’ll let you know if I can handle it. I’ve grown up with some wild dogs, so I feel mostly capable of employing strategies keeping us both happy. Each dog is unique and few are without quirks/difficulties, please don’t hesitate to share if you’re unsure.
A typical day
I generally have two approaches with the dogs I walk: the first being a long, slow walk in which the dog has plenty of opportunities to smell the smells and follow their curiosity. Sometimes, this walk is their only opportunity to really get out and take their time exploring. The second approach is a jog, which is great for dogs with high energy. As long as the dog isn’t unusually strong, it is easy to keep them under control if they get distracted and try to bolt. I charge $10 extra for jogs/runs.

I work part-time as a barista, and my schedule is very flexible. I am available on short notice, 8 hours notice in advance is preferred.
