My first position when I was only 12 years old was in animal care, I was a stablehand for 4 years. During this time I discovered that animal care was meditative. As a teenager I picked up dog training as a hobby and I've loved animals my whole life. I regularly volunteered at an animal shelter and a year ago I adopted my first dog from the Humane Society of Western Michigan.
