Since I was a kid I have enjoyed looking after the pets of friends and neighbors when they were in need. When I I began college I started working professionally as a dog walker and trainer for a local Petco. I found it very rewarding teaching young pups and their families basic obedience skills. I have trained my own pets and in the past enjoyed opportunities to volunteer in nursing homes with my dog Muffin who earned his Canine Good Citizenship license. I currently participate in basic agility with my 5 year old Shiba Inu, Django. Being a pet parent my-self I am no stranger to the stresses and challenges that come with a sick pet. Muffin, a 85 pound Bernese mix, had problems with his hips from birth which eventually resulted in his need for a doggie wheelchair, and Django recently developed a seizure disorder requiring regular medications. Although I wish I didn't have as much experience caring for sick pets I can assure you that if your pet has any special requirements or health concerns I will provide the same level of care as if they were my own fur baby. I currently work full time as an elementary school art teacher so on a regular basis I am available week days after 5pm. School breaks however, I am totally open! Feel free to contact me for vacations and holidays! I do not provide home care at this time due to the rules and regulations of my current apartment complex. Thank you for your understanding!
