Leave your pup in great hands!

Pet care experience

It all started when I was a little tot, I would run straight up to dogs for a big hug. Not the safest move with any type of stranger. My mom had to put me on a leash! (no joke, it was a child harness) Since those days I've learned a thing or two about dog handling, and you know, personal space. Under the surface I'm still that little girl, all animals hold a very special place in my heart. I know it is stressful to leave a loved one behind, even for a single night. Teach me your pup's daily routine and I will do my best to fill your shoes! That means no void for your pooch. In training? No problem. Show me the drill and your pup won't miss a beat! I know how much consistency counts and plus, I'm silly patient despite energy and experience levels. If I sound like the gal for the job, contact me. Not certain? Don't hesitate to throw any questions my way! To give you an idea, my list of personal pet experience: dogs, cats, bunny, mice, rat, goldfish, betta fish, veiled chameleon, millipede, chickens My sitting experience includes some of the above plus: blue-tongued skink, slider turtles, gopher snake, anole lizards, horses, goats My experience administering medication: I have experience administering the following across a wide variety of pets: pills (whole & crushed), eye drops, ear drops, salves, ointments, liquid medicine (spoon & syringe). Basically everything but shots, but I am not afraid of needles.

Casey took great care of my dogs. She is very knowledgeable about dog care and dog behavior. She sent photos daily with a little update about how they were doing. I highly recommend Casey and will definitely be seeking her services for any of my future dog care needs!

Casey was great and kept me informed through out Dexters stay. Dexter also really enjoyed care she was able to provide and all the fun he had with Abbey.

Information Casey H. would like to know about your pet

I want to know your pup's favorite game, toy, and/or trick. It would also be helpful to know your pup's triggers and vices. These details will allow me to manage the environment and experience to the best of my abilities. With your consent, photos and videos of your pup will be available on Abbey Rose's Instagram: @abbeyroseruns. Either way, I will send a daily update with photos through Rover.

A typical day

My goal is to ensure your pup has a fun, relaxing, and safe Staycation while you are away! What to Expect - Property and Accommodations*: We are located in a quiet, low-traffic neighborhood, which allows for safe and peaceful walks around the block. Our street has a trailhead that provides convenient access to parks and the lake. Our typical neighborhood and lakefront walks are 1-1.5 miles. Our property boasts a fenced 3,000 sq ft backyard with a 200 sq ft covered patio. We have a 6 ft wood fence topped with an angled mesh barrier to deter jumping. Our landscaping includes grass and plenty of shade trees for playtime and cool down. After rainfall, our yard has its share of mud, and I find the pups typically enjoy playing there the most! We also have a 300 sq ft tiled bonus room that is dedicated entirely to the dogs - I call it the dog room. It has both backyard and garage access and is equipped with heat/AC and a baby monitor. When the weather is nice, I leave the door to the yard open so the pups can come and go as they please. They are allowed to jump, wrestle, run, snuggle and sleep on the couch and rug to their heart's desire. The dog room is where the pups sleep and where they hang out if I need to pop out (2 hrs max). Our main house is a pet-free zone. This might seem like a turnoff, but it actually helps ensure your pup does not get into anything poisonous, toxic or otherwise dangerous. If your dog suffers from severe separation anxiety and cannot settle, we will have a dog room slumber party. I did this with Abbey during her first few thunderstorms and it helped immensely. *see profile photos Meet&Greet and Drop-Offs: For Meet&Greets and Drop-offs, AbbeyRose and I will meet you out front on-leash. Abbey is an excited lunger, so I’ll have her in a sit or on a short leash as you and your pup approach. Once the dogs meet on neutral ground, we will proceed to the yard so they can play and interact off leash. At Drop-off, I will pop out alone to grab your dog’s food and then return with Abbey. I find a walk around the block helps distract from your departure and get the pups primed for playtime. So we will wave you off from the driveway. After our walk, I will keep my full attention on the dogs to ensure your pup settles in nicely. As the initial excitement wears down I will introduce toys for more interactive play.
