Pet care experience
Hello! Rover connected me with some great clients, and my work schedule is getting a bit busier, so I'm not currently taking on any additional clients. Thank you! I currently work from home full time. I've got a big fenced back yard, and an extra large doggie door that leads to a fully enclosed run for self-electing potty breaks. I've got 20+ years experience caring for dogs and cats, especially with behavior or medical issues. I've worked in animal shelters, vet clinics and with dog trainers of all types. I also have 10 acres of woods for exceptional exercise and leash training opportunities. I'm also willing to do pick-up and drop-off within 20 miles of my home. My permanent residents are 2 older cats and a 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd, all of whom have been exposed to every type of dogs and cats and get along great with all kinds! We'd love to see you soon!

I felt really great about leaving Sophie with Casey last weekend. She is excellent with animals, knowledgeable and loving. She is very willing to treat each guest as an individual, caring for any special needs they may have. I highly recommend her!!

Casey has watched my aging Labrador/Hound dog consistently for upwards of a year and she's been fantastic. She's friendly, flexible, knowledgeable about all different types of animals and is very professional. Casey definitely has a natural gift with animals and and she's even taught my old dog some new tricks! She always takes cute and funny pics of him, too, which brighten my time away from him and make me feel good about leaving my 'baby' in her care.

I definitely love the big dogs, the bigger the better! But I've had great success with all sorts of pets that need a little more understanding and knowledge, so bring it on! As long as they get along with my Luna and won't unrelentingly try to eat the cats, then this could be a great home-away-from-home for them!
A typical day
I am especially happy to make walking or exercise accommodations for any special needs cases. I've got a large fenced in back yard, plus access to 5 miles of forested trails. I've taught many dogs on-leash manners and off-leash hiking with the use of vibration-collar training. I love a good game of fetch, or tug-o-war, and LOVE using positive reinforcement for teaching new tricks to dogs that want (and can tolerate) special treats.
