Animated animal lover w/ sidekick!

Pet care experience

Hey there! My name is Casey Skyy and I’m a Registered Behavior Therapist that’s passionate about blending my experience in the world of behavior with animal care. I am new to Rover, but I am in no way inexperienced in working with our animal friends. This includes marsupials, rodents, lizards and of course our furrier friends, cats and dogs! Aside from taking care of family animals throughout my life and many of my own, I spent 6 years fostering and rehoming dogs and cats alike. This has allowed me to spend time with diverse types of animals and care for their individual medical needs. I’ve spent the past year specifically house-sitting for other foster parents on business/pleasure trips who rely on me to take care of rotating animals, both young and seniors. Along with me is my Rover partner, Little Bear. Little Bear is a 5 year old Australian Cattle Dog. One of our staples is making sure you return to your place exactly as you left it with animals right ready for your lovins. Thank you for visiting my profile. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

You could not ask for a better pet sitter. He's kept several of my foster dogs while I am out of town and always shows them the best care. He knows how to work with special needs dogs, isn't afraid to give medicine or shots and of course loved your fur babies like they are his . Your pets will be in the best of care with him

Skyy has taken care of my clowder quite a few times and has been amazing. Because I foster for a local rescue, my clowder ranges from just my three cats to as many as eleven cats - five of which were unexpected kittens! Sometimes I've needed his services for just a long weekend, other times its been for over a week (his stay was ten or eleven days log when I had the eleven cats in the house). One of my three, a 13yo cat, requires twice daily injections; Skyy managed these just fine. I also have a 14yo who can be a bit unfriendly with strangers and who demands to go outside; he has a GPS collar that needs charging every other day. Again, Skyy handled the old man just fine and kept the GPS unit charged up. Because the kittens were just a month or so old, they and their momma required special food/kitten milk and needed extra clean up duties (mom's system didn't react to pregnancy/motherhood very well). I also had a fully feral/extremely fearful cat in a cage who needed daily litterbox cleaning/food and water changes. This cat would hiss/spit at me when I would open her enclosure up to put down food/water or clean the litterbox; I imagine she did the same with Skyy. Skyy took all of these cats in stride and the kittens, their mom, the feral and my two older cats were all obviously well taken care of while I was gone (i.e., the cages were clean, litter boxes empty, GPS charged, etc.). He also kept me updated with photos and voicemails/texts. In some of those, it's obvious that my 13yo liked Skyy. I think Skyy has brought his dog along (with my permission; my cats live with a hound, so dogs aren't an issue for them), though I can't say for certain since I never see any evidence that Skyy's dog has been in my house. On top of all these cats and kittens, Skyy also had to deal with a couple of household emergencies - one was a plumbing issue that required some cleanup, which he did so I could come home to a clean house. I will continue to use Skyy's services when I need to be away from home.

Caring for my pet and clients pets vary depending on their individual needs. I’m no stranger to working with dogs/cats with different medical ailments as well as a variety of energy levels. I’m also comfortable with shots and medicine regiments. Along with animal care, I make it my personal effort to ensure your space is exactly as you left it when you get back home.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or particular behaviors I need to be aware of. I prefer dogs that are friendly with other dogs as I often have Little Bear with me. Please let me know if yours is not so that I can make special accommodations.

A typical day

I carry a tote bag of toys that I love to use while on my outings. Frisbees and fetch balls are a huge part of my arsenal to keeping your dog well exercised and happy. We all know a tired pup is a happy pup!
