Veterinary Technician for Odd Jobs
Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Cas! I am a 21-year-old veterinary technician student who has more than one year of experience in the veterinary field, including surgery monitoring, patient care, hospitalization care, ICU, and radiology. I began my career in animal care/adoptions at One of a Kind Pet Rescue in Akron, OH, where I gained extensive dog handling training and many veterinary skills. I now work at a Veterinary clinic in Stow, OH and I am seeking odd jobs for extra money toward my schooling. I am trained in veterinary CPR, and trauma care. Extensive training medicating both dogs and cats, whether it be oral, otic, optic, or injectable administration. I have experience with dogs with heartworm/heart diseases, diabetic dogs and cats, seizure disorders in both canines and felines, and various other common diseases.
About Cas C.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I would like to meet your pet before beginning service with them. I am okay with animals with behavioral issues as long as they are noted to me prior to my meeting with them. I am very experienced with all sorts of animal behaviors (2 years of animal rescue experience). I would like a general mutual trust between myself and my client, not only for their pets' safety- but for mine and the client's safety as well. Communication is very important to me with my clients so that I have an understanding of exactly how you'd like your pet cared for and I may do as such.
Information Cas C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to be informed ahead of time of your dog's temperament, and any special needs or restrictions they have. Is your dog low or high energy? Does your dog have a specific routine as far as going outside/time to be fed/how they like to play? How do you prefer to walk your dog on a leash (harness, collar, special leash etc..)? I would like a general understanding of the dog's behavior history and if it has any home/food/toy guarding behaviors that I need to be aware of for my safety.
A typical day
If you have a fenced-in yard I would love to play fetch or frisbee with your dog, allowing them to run in the yard would be a great way to allow them the mental stimulation they need. If you don't have a fenced-in yard, I would love to either walk your dog around the neighborhood or take them to a park (per your discretion). Mental stimulation by way of toys, treats, games, and exercise are the main goals of my time with the dog.

Availability
I work full-time at the moment, so I am only offering drop-by visits at this time. I can stop by to give your pet their medication, walk dogs, feed/drop-by or medicate felines, and other services may be possible as discussed. My schedule is sometimes tight, so I need some advance to a job. I am a very easy person to communicate with and I am willing to go the extra mile for my clients.
