Pet care experience
Hi! I want to start off by saying that would love to have a pet of my own, but I know it is not the right time in my life to provide the long term care a pup deserves. Pre-covid, I volunteered every week at an animal shelter (showing dogs for adoption, walking, cleaning, and caring for dogs!). During covid, I decided to open my doors to fostering dogs while they were waiting to find their forever homes. You will see various pictures of me with these pups and also why I had a break from rover during this time. As work is picking back up, fostering is not the best option for us and so i'm back on Rover! I am very excited to get the opportunity to care for your pup and meet you as well! Best, Caryn I work from home which makes it easy to take breaks for walks and play, but need quiet time while I am in meetings as well. I live on the 12th floor in an apartment building with an elevator. I have a medium/large crate and multiple fluffy and soft beds. Your pup will never be in/around the building without me.

Caryn was fantastic! She took care of my two girls (45&60 lbs) and kept me updated! One of my dogs got sick while she was watching them and she let me know immediately and took great care of her! She was also super flexible considering that we are in the process of moving. I would definitely recommend (and re-book) her!
Caryn is amazing! She takes great care of my pups when I’m away, is very responsive and sends me cute pics of them so I know they’re doing well.

Very important to know how they do around other dogs/children/bikes, etc,. I live near the river and while it's a beautiful place to walk a dog, on a nice day there is a lot of activity. It's also important to know feeding schedule, known allergies, and in general anything that would result in your pup being unhappy or unhealthy.
A typical day
Walks! Sun bathe! Play in the snow (if the owner says it's okay). I also enjoy doing training exercises with the pup, who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!?
