This was the first time that we had ever left our dog with a pet sitter so I was a little nervous about the whole thing. We were very pleased to receive updates from Cary and to return to find Bruno very happy. They seem to have gotten along great. We'll definitely use Cary again if he's available.

Ella seemed so happy and at home at Cary's place. Ella is a pretty mellow and independent dog so I was looking for someone who was only accepting one dog at a time. That was a definite selling point for me as was the land surrounding his property. If I need a sitter again, I will definitely be taking Ella back there!

Cary was very responsive and gave great updates throughout the stay. He was friendly and easy to work with. It was obvious that our dog had a great time and was in no hurry to leave. We will definitely be checking in with Cary for future boarding needs.

Canine Country Retreat in the City!

I come from a family of dog lovers and breeders (Labradors) who treat canines as family members. Mature and responsible, I will treat your pet with the respect they deserve and the care you expect. My home has been described as a "Dog Paradise." It's hard to believe this is the city: there's a private meadow, woods and a creek for playing and exploring. The entire house is "dog friendly," including bed privileges ...

What Cary would like to know about your dog

Love and affection are intrinsic to this work, so I seek out kind, friendly dogs for my service. I've not met many dogs that are unlovable; I wish I could say the same for people! Partly, this is why I prefer to work with dogs. I'm willing to consider any dog and will respect the owner's description and characterization of their canine companion. I am partial to Labradors but love all breeds and mixes. Mean dogs need not apply.

When Cary watches your pet

My private 3 acre property sits at the end of a no outlet road and offers safe outdoor space for supervised fun and exercise. Powell Butte Nature Park is a short drive and a great place for long walks in the woods.
