My experience with dogs spans years! I’m the former owner of brother Miniature Schnauzers, Nikko and Raja! (Who I think of often.) And before them, I’d spent countless hours with their parents, Scottie and Roxy, and the family dog of one of my parents, Sergeant. I also think it’s worth noting, that as someone who’s on the spectrum, I recognize the gifts that pets can be. I appreciate their ability to love us for who we are, where we are. And I think, in that way, they’re also role models.
