Reliable, Caring and Sincere

Pet care experience

I have been pet sitting for 7 years before Rover.com. Still maintain my own client list of 20 throughout the year as well. I also work three days a week in a dental office. I prefer setting up meet and greets with clients 1 to 2 weeks prior using my services because it allows us to be organized and on the same page with communication at the time of using my services. So all the last minute clients suggestion set up meet and greets so when you have last minute events we are ready to go instead of scrambling to find someone. As well if you don't have pictures of yourself and your pet I will decline. At the meet and greet I get to know your pet and go over any questions or concerns that you may have. Please compile a list such as: The feeding schedule, vet info, any RX pet maybe taking, as well instructions how to give medicine and if the pet refuses to take their medicine please let me know how you would like me to handle the situation . The itinerary should include this information, as well as the schedule time when I start and when you want me to leave. One day rate starts at the time you need me to start when you book my services and ends that same time the following day. Example : You have me start at 9am taken care of ur dog then the new day will begin after 9am the following day. If something comes up in which my stay needs to be extended pass the time frame then you need go to Rover.com and click extend stay. Unless I choose to waive that fee or we come to another arrangement. I'm not the pet sitter for you if your pet needs extensive care to walk, and giving their medication. I have no problems putting medication in the pets food or treats in order for them take their medicines. I have given medicine for seizures, arthritis, heart, and cancer in the pet's food or treats. Please be very specific and always have open communication with me in regarding your pet. I want to make this a good experience for you and your pet. Thank you! P.S. Clients it doesn't cost you to sit up meet and greets to find the best pet sitter for you and allows you to be prepared when you have your last minute events.

Carrie was wonderful with our dogs and our house. She was very willing to communicate with me and send great pictures of the dogs. The dogs seemed very happy and well taken care of. She is a lovely person. We will definitely use her again!

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience with Carrie. During our meet and greet it felt like she was not hearing what we were saying. I typed up information on the dogs and left it for her, and let her know when we needed her to let the dogs out. Long story short I provided her with clear instructions and she had too much trouble following them. When my senior dog spit out his medication, she did not know how to administer it properly. I would not recommend her for any pets that have special needs. She did send pictures of the dogs and texted me, but I told her we would not have service in the mountains. My biggest issue was that I asked her to let them out in the afternoon on the day we were coming back, but she left after they ate breakfast. I instructed her to leave the key, so after she left she couldn't get back in. We had to try to come back from our trip early because of this. After I told her she did not follow instructions, she became defensive and incoherent. She sent me messages that made little sense and was often blaming me for her mistakes. When I did not respond due to lack of service, she continued to text me. One text would be positive and have an apology, then the next text would be aggressive and blame me. She also did not text in full sentences and used a lot of abbreviations/slang, which in my opinion is not very professional. My dogs are not that complicated, nor were my instructions, but she seemed to struggle with the simplest tasks. I had a weird feeling about her from the start of the meet and greet, and I wish I had listened to my gut. Nothing major went wrong, but we will not have her back.

Carrie was absolutely wonderful. This was the first time we had to leave our dogs alone over Christmas, and we were thankful that she was available. Usually we have our friend watch them, but since we moved up to Colorado, we don't have anyone to watch them. Then we found Carrie through Rover. She sent us updates and pictures of our pups. They also responded positively when she came for the meet and greet. We felt completely comfortable and relaxed knowing that the dogs were in good hands. We actually had our flight cancelled the day we were returning, and Carrie was able to stay an extra night with our dogs while we tried to get home without question. She was very loving and caring to our dogs, and we will be using her as our "go-to" sitter from here on out.

It's clear Carrie loves dogs. We could relax on our vacation knowing our dogs were well cared for.
