** Please read my info before submitting a request ** Send your fur baby to dog park style boarding for their own vacation. Whether it's cruising and sniffing all the smells, or running, wrestling, and splashing in the mud puddles in the rainy months, dogs have the space and freedom here for all their doggy desires. Remember... being a dog can be messy business. A clean up bath is available, for a small fee, to wash off all the doggy vacation before pick up if you'd like. My name is Carrie and my hubby is John. He manages the dogs with me… well… he plays with them while I do the chores… lol! I have a small dog yard that is approximately 1/4 acre and a big dog yard that is 1/3 acre, both with 4ft fences. I am previously a Registered Veterinary Technician with 10 years of experience in veterinary hospitals. I also have degrees in Animal Training, Zoo Keeping, and Wildlife Education. I have 13 years of experience in training animals and have trained both dogs and exotic animals (including a Wolf, Cougar and many small species). I've been working with animals in many capacities for the past 38 years. I am self employed, so I'm able to tend to the visiting dogs often :) During their stay all dogs will be comfy in one of two spaces on our property, either in our TV room, or my detached office. Both spaces are fully temperature controlled.
Reviews
I chose Carrie and John after reading about her many years of working with animals, her Vet Tech experience and CPR skills, especially. My Ahmira has no health issues, but I needed assurance she would be safe, first and foremost. Afghan Hounds are a very unique breed and deserve respect and quality care. I trust that Carrie and John provided the love and security Ahmira needed and am pleased that we all made it through the 2 week separation, although it was heart wrenching to leave her. I highly recommend Carrie and John as care givers for your animals.
My Maggie is a very shy dog and she had never boarded before, but did well with Carrie and John for first a test overnight and then for a week. Next time I need to board her, I would not hesitate to use Carrie and John, where I know she will be safe and happy.
Very professional and knowledgable.
Carrie and John took the best care of Buzz and Poppy! Our pups came home happy and tired, which was the best result!

Information Carrie & John S. would like to know about your pet
* I do all meet and greets by appointment at my house. It takes about 20 minutes. * I do drop offs and pick ups by appointment in 30 minute windows of time. If you could submit your request accordingly it is very helpful. * Please know, my property has lots of space for your dog to run but with consecutive days of rain it can be muddy. I do offer a $25 clean up bath if you would like all the doggy vacation washed off your pup. * All dogs must be current on vaccines * Please have your dog on a preventative flea medication at least 1 week prior to boarding. * If you do not have a crate please notify me in the request. I do have spare crates available. * I do not take dogs that have aggression towards other dogs or humans. * Your dog must be symptom free (no diarrhea, vomiting, coughing). * It's very common for dogs to have anxiety during boarding. Being away from home and their human pack can be scary. During the meet and greet we can discuss the potential for your dog having anxiety and what can be done if this happens. Please check out this article by Rover about the basics of Separation Anxiety. https://www.rover.com/blog/separation-anxiety-in-dogs/?
