Not just a pet sitter

Pet care experience

I started working with animals in 1998 at an animal shelter in Orlando, doing training and adoptions. I was later a dog walker in California. I since became a teacher and have recently found a calling back in the pet community. I created iPetCare to bring together not only pet sitting, and dog walking, but to educate pet owners (including children) on the importance of responsible pet care and providing owners with more holistic approaches to carrying for their pets.

Took great care of my pup while I was away, fed her and walked her without issue. Thank you for the help while I was away

When I think of a responsible, passion , dedication, knowledgeable loving and caring person for my dogs , the first person that pops on my mind is Carrie!! She will go beyond what ever it takes for her dogs and others! If I have questions regarding my dogs I go to her because I trust her!!!Her expertise and passion makes her unique! Her love for dogs is unmeasurable! Her knowledge and caring for dogs is the results of healthy, happy and well trained pups !! Her dogs are not dogs for her, they are her babies !! I will be in peace leaving my dogs on her care because after me she will be the one I will trust to take care of my furry children.

Carrie is by far the biggest pet lover I have ever met. She ran her own farm/petting zoo with mini animals! She is the owner of 5 dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon. She can't pass a pet without loving on them. I have family members that have used her for pet sitting and I myself have entrusted her with my beloved pup many times in the past, and will continue to do so in the future. Not only does my girl get walked and played with, she is loved on and has even been bathed and had her nails trimmed. Carrie has saved the day for me on more then one occasion when I have needed her help at the last minute. She has always been kind enough to work me and my baby girl into her schedule.

Why I love dog sitting My passion for dogs and all animals has gone back as far as I can remember. I started training my chihuahua when I was 6. Teaching him basic commands and tricks. I then did 4H training with my Akita when I was 12. At the age of 14 I started volunteering at a local animal shelter helping pair dog seekers with their dog match and training and walking dogs at the shelter. I did this until I was 18 and then I started dog walking. I have pet sat and dog walked on and off since then. I spend ours with my own pets at dog parks, pet adoption events and have rescued and rehomed many dogs over the years.

Information Carrie S. would like to know about your pet

I like to meet dogs ahead of time a spend a bit of time with them so they are able to get to know me and I them and find out about their personalities, habits, likes and dislikes.

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog Depending on the situation would determine the amount of time. I am willing to spend what is needed for each dog on an individual basis. Between 15-35 minutes would be the typical but again can be tailored per dogs needs. Extra house-sitting services Yes I can do things around the house that are needed as well.
