Pet care experience
*Accepting new clients through November 15th! Priority given to Lux at Lowery residents!” Our pets deserve the best care we can give them. That is why I am passionate about being present and attentive while I am with your loved ones. I promise to give your pets the same care that I give my own and more. I pride myself on professional, warm service. I specialize in: -Cat check-in and dog walks - Positive reinforcement - Special requests: light house work, errands, laundry for an additional rate I spend extra time getting to know your pet as an individual, so that each visit becomes a special treat. Understanding what I can do to make your time away from home worry free is my largest concern. Caring for animals is my passion. I take this job very seriously. I will not: - Ever rush your pet. They need time to sniff and play. - Discipline or yell at your pet. I use positive reinforcement or distraction techniques, never shaming. About Us: I moved to Denver this month for a new job after addending graduate school at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. My son and I are avid animal lovers and advocates for animal rights. In my spare time I love to read, get out in nature, and yes, spend time with animals! I enjoy volunteering at Farm Sanctuaries. There is a great one in Watkins Glenn, NY ( highly recommend)! I am a nondrinker, nonsmoker, and take no medication of any kind. Health and wellness are a priority to me. I go jogging, do yoga, ride bikes, and hike. I am an early riser and go to bed around 9pm. I have experience with dogs who have special needs. Our dog Breeze recently passed from cancer and our husky has seizures. My goal is to give them their best dog lives possible while I have been blessed with this one chance. That is the way I treat every animal interaction. I am available for (and prefer) extended and repeat bookings for discounted rates. I love the relationship and trust built with long-term care. Earning your trust is important to me. I make sure that all instructions are followed accurately and efficiently. We can make a schedule, so you know exactly what your pet is up to. When we go on walks, I use the tracking feature so you can follow our progress. I give baths, take long walks, play games, cuddle, read books, play outside, and accept special requests. I am careful and conscious about locking doors and respecting your wishes. Every household is different and requires open communication and active listening on my part to ensure the best possible care. I keep in constant communication, send pictures, ask questions, and consistently keep you updated.
Reviews
Carrie and Trace have been awesome with my dog! I love getting picture/video updates, and they are always going on long walks and playing at the park. They treat him like one of their own and he’s always excited to see them :)

During our Meet & Greet we will discuss expectations, concerns, and agree upon a schedule. I feed, administer medicine, go on walks, and sleep/wake on schedule. Water bowls are cleaned and refilled daily. I send pics and keep up updated everyday. I give baths and am available for additional tasks upon request.
Information Carrie S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about any health issues that may affect our visits. My husky has occasional seizures (a few times a year), and my boxer had lung cancer, so I am prepared to deal with sensitive matters that require compassion and patience. **Important** Our dogs are our children, so please do not hesitate to tell me what your dog needs. You know your dog best, so let me know what I can do keep your dog's routine balanced and joyful. Rules: I do not accept: -Check-ins for dogs for over two days -Rate negotiation -Appointments without meet and greets -Pets with severe medical or behavior challenges
A typical day
A typical day with your pet depends on the schedule we set based on your loved one's needs, preferences, and your expectations. Dogs typically have their highest energy level in the morning, so I rise early, feed them, administer any medication, and head off for walks. I love to take walks to the local parks or trails and see where the doggies take me! I enjoy watching them explore and sniff. Maybe a careful jog is in order! Afterward, when your pup is resting, I take that chance to get some work done. In between walks and feeding I alternate between lots of pets, playing, and general pet care. My goal is to make your pet happy and feel cared for at all times.

Pet and house sitting is a great fit for my work/life balance! I am new to Denver so I will be taking on clients until November 15th when I will begin a new role. I will update my schedule after that time.
