Hi there! I'm Carrie. I'm 36 and I live with my two dogs and cat in a home with a well-sized and secured fenced yard. Walks: You’ll get updates when I arrive to pick your pup up for a walk as well as photographs while we are out. I’ll let you know about their time and whether or not they took a potty break (one or two, or both of course!). I am also happy to check on houseplants, pet food levels, etc. Drop Ins: Similarly to walks, I will check on any food levels, make sure no messes were made, water levels, belly rubs, training reinforcement (at your instruction) or whatever else your pet needs, all you have to do is let me know ? Boarding (currently not available) The house is in West Fort Collins and backs to Overland Park, which has a pond, wetland area, large open space (perfect for walks!). All pups I board will be going on walks (unless otherwise requested per owner instruction where walks are not wanted) and you will be updated with photos of their excursions and/or playtime (and silly things they do if I can catch it on camera!). For pups that are staying for the longer term, trips to Estes/Rocky Mountain National Park, Horsetooth Lake/Lory State Park, Pet friendly stores and restaurants, and Spring Creek dog park are all places that I’d love to bring your well-behaved pups to! My animal experience: There has never been a time in my life when I didn't enjoy the company of animals (from dogs and cats to chickens and horses). I have two dogs, Cosmo and Tribble, and a cat, Penny. I have been sitting and doing checkins for friends and family all of my life. More recently, I have been volunteer dog walking at Animal House. My animals love both humans and puppy play pals and have also lived other dogs as large as a St. Bernard and as small as a Chihuahua. At my home: I work from home as a real estate agent and real estate appraiser with occasional meetings that last under an hour. Other than that, sleep, and household errands, I will always be available for your pups! Dog setup: - Full 6 foot wood privacy fence surrounds the back yard. - I have fortified the bottom of the fence with chicken wire to discourage digging. - Separation barriers are available both indoors and outdoors to keep dogs in groups where they get along with the other dogs. Eating will be done separately (I require that they eat separately for everyones safety) - Neighbors and sound. While my neighbors are all dog owners and do know that I dog sit, quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am to accommodate for everyone's peace. Feeding: Morning feedings 7:30 am after first potty breaks, Evening feeding around 5:30 pm. For those that need accommodated feeding schedules, please let me know in the care instructions so that we can keep your pup happy. Food: Please bring the food that your pup is used to to help alleviate any upset tummies. Same with treats or instructions for treats. I do provide freeze-dried meat treats by Nulo. Why do I dogsit? Simply put, I love dogs. I also love to travel, so I understand what it feels like when you’re away from your fur babies. I do not send my dogs to kennels, not that they are horrible, but I have a fear of what might happen under low supervision. Communication: You can call or message me any time. I will send you periodic photos and updates of your pup while they’re in my care so that you can rest assured they’re happy and in good hands!
