Pet care experience
I have been working with animal as long as I can remember and my family currently owns 2 dogs and 2 cats . I have experience as a veterinary technician so I am very comfortable administering medications if needed and know what signs to look for when if an animal is distressed or not feeling well. I have owned my pet sitting business for 3 years now and have worked with a number of different families. I am currently working towards my Master's degree in companion animal behavior and counseling. I understand how to approach and handle dogs of all temperaments. I have also volunteered with Animal Humane New Mexico where I worked with the behavior department gaining experience with fearful dogs and cats. This experience helped me understand how to approach animals in their own home as they can sometimes become fearful of new people in the house. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. When pet sitting, I do try to make the pet's schedule as normal as possible so that they do not become too stressed in the owner's absence. I do work a 40 hour work week at a veterinary supply company so I am able to do overnights any day of the week, but I am only able to do visits before and/or after work and anytime on the weekends.

Information Carrie S. would like to know about your pet
I do like to have a meet and greet visit with all of my pet sitting clients before the first sit to introduce myself to the dog or cat so they do not feel like I am a complete stranger on the first visit.
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood, trips to the dog park (if okay'd by pet parents), playing fetch, tug, or other games in the house and yard, plenty of snuggles and scratches
