I think every dog is the best dog!

Pet care experience

I have close to 20 years of experience caring for both cats and dogs as well as vast customer service experience. I worked at a doggy daycare where I would care for and manage up to 30 dogs at a time. I would also feed, give medications, and take part in one on one playtimes and work in the kennel. I currently work part time at a veterinary clinic in their kennel taking care of all the boarders. I also foster kittens and medical needs cats when I have the time. I am very big on communication and know how important regular updates are. I want you to be able to enjoy your time away and/or take care of what you need to and know that your pet is being well cared for and happy. I will check in throughout the day with updates, videos, and pictures. I will let you know how meal times and bedtimes go and of course reach out if I have any questions or concerns. My goal is to ensure a fun and stressless experience for both you and your pets. I do not simply just walk and feed pets under my care but play with them, exercise, massage, and give lots of love and hugs. I will also take out your trash, gather mail and packages, and leave your home spotless. There’s nothing worse than coming home from out of town and immediately having to do chores. I am obliging to other needed housekeeping tasks as well. I am very flexable and available at a moment's notice. I am also very detail oriented and responsible. Thank you so much for reading and I hope to meet you soon!

Carrie is a lifesaver! She is fabulous with our dog Charley and was especially helpful when I needed an extra visit due to a delayed surgery start time for my mom, keeping me away from the house much longer than I anticipated. How wonderful to know I have a sweet and reliable walker to be there when I’m not able to that I can trust with my fur baby. Thank you so much, Carrie!!

This was our second time having Carrie watch our two dogs as she did such a great job the first time. She communicated daily with pictures we always looked forward to receiving and made our vacation much more relaxing knowing they were in great hands. Upon our return it’s like we never left so thank you Carrie!

Carrie is absolutely amazing. If I could steal her from everyone else and make her my permanent dog sitter I would. She is caring, compassionate, timely, communicative, and goes above and beyond expectations to ensure that everything is taken care. She is practically family after taking care of my dog the way she did 👏🏾

I will care for your pets in your home in the closest way possible to how you care for them and what they’re used to. I want to keep their routine and activity levels the same. I will pop in and out during the day to walk dogs and visit my pets but all of my “free” time will be spent at your home with your pets. I try to only pet sit within 4-5 miles of my home so I am not having to spend excess time away from your pets. Some precautions I take are not allowing your dog to interact with animals they don’t know. Even if your dog is friendly I do not know the disposition of the other dog and will decline any offers for the dogs to “say hi”. I also never allow dogs to be off-leash unless in a fenced yard. I will not give them any food that you have not specifically told me they can have. I also do my best to not “force”‘ them to do anything but encourage them instead. Again my ultimate goal is to minimize stress and maximize fun and comfort.

Information Carrie R. would like to know about your pet

I like to know likes and dislikes of dogs including how they liked to be handled. All dogs are different and I want to make them as comfortable as possible. I also like to know their routine as I strive to keep their day to day life the same so they are less stressed. I also like to know how they are with other dogs or animals they may see/encounter on walks. I have experience working with fear aggressive and prey driven dogs and it’s good to know this beforehand to minimize unsafe situations.

A typical day

I know lots of great spots in Roswell/Alpharetta/Sandy Springs for dog walking and adventure. I cater outings depending on the type of dog and activity level. Does your dog love going to all the great trails in Roswell? I’m am fine with putting them in my car and driving them for a nice hike. Would having them away from home make you nervous or do they just enjoy being at home? That’s fine too! I’m happy to stay at your house with your dog and entertain them there. Does your dog like to run? Me too! Or do they prefer to cuddle on the couch? I have lots of books I need to read haha. All in all I want them to have fun and be safe!

I have a very flexible schedule and can be ready at a moments notice. I can also stay overnight as I have others in my household who can care for my pets. This is my full time job and I do my best to be available for my clients. I do work part time (3 half days) at a veterinary clinic in Sandy Springs. There may be times when I’m pet sitting and will have to go to work. However, since I only work half shifts, I am not gone longer than 4-4.5 hours. If your pets cannot be alone that long then you can book a month in advance and I can request off and can ensure your pets will only be alone <2 hours. However, since I do have a few dogs I walk repeatedly throughout the week (30 minute walks) and like to visit my pets a couple times a day, I cannot be at your house full time.
